I really can’t explain why I am reading/reviewing this fabulous novella months after its release. Usually I devour anything from the Vampires in America Series the minute I can get my hands on it. Anyway, better late than never and this was another can’t-put-down book, so clear your schedule and hunker in for a terrific read.

There is plenty of action and suspense, sexy times with Cyn & Raphael (thank you D.B. for not making it all about the sex), a good intro to Quinn (can’t wait for his book) and the real beginning of the vampire war in Europe. You will not be lost if this is your first foray with these vampires but you will enjoy it so much more if you follow the series from the beginning.
Why did I take off .5 in the rating? Well, it was just because I thought Cyn was a bit too blood thirsty. I see her as a tough, action oriented female, but never have I viewed her as bloodthirsty as she is in this novella.
