For the most part I enjoyed seeing this outgoing, sexy, colorful computer hacker, who always seems to have a plan, draw quiet, reserved former mobster Dmitry out of his shut off existence following the death of his wife three years ago. Surprisingly, there were no sinister mob ties or Dmitry blamed linked to her demise, btw.
This unusual Bonnie and Clyde dual do end up flushing out the killer with a very predictable showdown. But once again I felt the best portion was the back and forth banter, build up to completely losing their control and reason, and, of course, falling for each other. As other reviewers have pointed out, this isn’t a heavily entrenched mafia series. The majority of the time in all three books it felt like they were on the outside looking in regards to mob activity.
I think this author could pull off an in-depth, complex one book mafia read, but she choose here to write three very short novellas where you have to buy all three to get the final conclusion. It’s up to you if you find that marketing strategy appealing and or acceptable.

Dmitry Kalev is the son of a murdered mafia boss, and he is on a mission to figure out who killed his father. When he discovers a hacker associated with the mob lurking at his favorite coffee shop, he corners her to find out what she's up to. A rainbow-haired part-time burlesque dancer, Harper Allen thrives on the thrill of hacking into unhackable systems. And when she sees Dmitry, she can't resist offering up her services - all of her services. Working together, they risk their lives, and ultimately, their hearts.
I loved the chemistry between Dmitry and Harper! While I didn't really relate to either of them, nor did I want to crawl into the book to be their friend, I thoroughly enjoyed their unique personalities. Harper, in particular, was a hoot. She is spunky, free-spirited, and wholly aware of herself, who she is and what she wants. She was a bit more promiscuous than I'm used to in most of the books I read, but it was lovely reading something different from my norm. It ended really well, and I liked seeing them together as a couple.
Definitely a book to read on a lonely night, when you need to live vicariously through a book boyfriend. Go read about Dmitry - you'll be glad you did.

Dimitry is all serious and business all the time. He left the"family business" when his wife died and now is trying to figure out who killed his father.
Harper is alone and is also wanting to find out who killed Sergey and inserts herself into his life. She's a hacker, flighty and changes her hair color like people change clothes.
Couldn't put it down. If you've read the first two books in the series you got to read this one.
I strongly do not recommend that you read this book without having read books one and two. The ongoing plot of who murdered Sergei Karev culminates into a passionate story between a beautiful hacker and the mysterious man she fell in love with.
