Tube Frame Construction
An ironing board's quality is decided by the way the frame is made. The Board 300LB is made using tube frame construction, which offers maximum rigidity and stability.
Double Wishbone Legs
To eliminate wobbliness, we use double wishbone legs on The Board 300LB, finished with a lead free, high coat white finish that will continue to look great for many years.
Extra Strong for Ironing Station
When used with an ironing station, there's no need to worry as the support is extra strong. ..even for an ironing station filled to capacity with water!
Ergonomic Support for Iron
The Board's iron tray when used with an iron, provides the perfect ergonomically correct resting spot. The iron sits on an angle reducing bending your wrist every time the iron is picked up.
Quality and Ingenuity
From every angle and in every detail The Board 300LB is a top performer.
A convenient laundry rack is supplied with The Board's 300LB. The rack doubles as a catch tray when ironing longer garments like dresses or robes.

For my business, I am often faced with the challenge of pressing full bolts of fabric and my previous ironing board left me frustrated EVERY time. Now, I can unfold the entire 43/44" width of my fabrics and press the entire width without having to adjust for the maddening pointy tip. This saves me so much time and effort!
The pad that comes with it is very nice and thick; it does not leave impressions in the cotton fabrics I am pressing. I recently purchased a Reiliable IronMaven J490A steam press, which fits nicely on the end of the board designed to hold an iron. As I am pressing long pieces of fabric, I use the wire shelf underneath it to catch the fabric and keep it from landing on the floor. It's just a great design!
The only issue I'm having is very minor and not worthy of a reduction in my 5-star rating. The extension used to square off the end will slip off the track a little bit if I am not careful when I move the board or when I fold it up. This is a very small price to pay for all the advantages of this ironing table.
I HIGHLY recommend this product!
The ironing board comes with an extension that creates the large rectangular one in the picture. The extension is a metal piece that slides onto the base board with out the cover. There are 2 covers included, one for the board without the extension and one with the extension. This means that when you need to use the large size board, you must remove the cover, add the extension and then put the full size cover on. The cover is not exactly oversized, so this takes a bit of work, not that much, but if you are switching between sizes a lot, it is a pain.
The next problem is that the ironing board is a frame with a sheet of open 'lattice' on it, not unlike many boards. The issue is that the lattice sheet is welded to the top of the board and the extension, not the bottom, so there are sharp edges on it. I cut myself twice setting up the board. It also snags on the ironing board cover which is a $50.00+ replacement cost.
Once it is set up, it is stable, but the extension piece is a bit wobbly (nothing major). I can't quite get my king size duvet ironed in 2 sections, there is still that small area in the centre of the duvet that I can't reach. Getting rid of this was one of the reasons I bought this board. If the duvet cover is not a 'deep mattress fit', I think it will be okay.
I am not sure if I would purchase this board again, but it does have its uses.
What you're paying for is a sturdy platform. Working in fashion, I need a board that can hold my Rowenta steamer iron (with it's heavy base). This handles it with no problem. The legs are made from large, thick metal. There's no way this table is buckling.
But what I love is the ability to change the tapered end to a straight one, which allows my ironing of raw fabric much easier.
Does the home customer need something like this? probably not. I would recommend their lower end model that's about 100.00 cheaper.
This is definitely one of those lifetime purchases. You're never going to need or want another ironing board again.
Some have complained that the extension wobbles and is unstable. I have not found that to be the case at all. The extension fits well on the narrow end of the ironing board for me. I must admit hubby did put it on the board. So he might be the reason it is holding well, he is strong. But, he seemed to put it on the end easily with almost no effort. I was also pleased with the quality of the board covers. One for when you are using the extension and one when you don't. They are heavy enough and not flimsy at all. Why someone would want anything thicker I have no idea.Read more ›
