1- I cleaned it out before we left and noticed that the water was coming out really really slow. After looking in the nozzle I noticed that there was excess manufacturing molding that was covering the outlet for the water to flow out, used an exact-o blade to remove all these pieces then water flowed great.
2 - when filled, it does not hold any type of 'box' shape like the photo, instead it just kind of rolls around. we finally just placed it on a tree stump near the ground because it would just roll off the table and the nozzle would get mud all over it...
Overall it's an ok container, the plastic seems heavy enough, the handle seems to be sturdy, didn't leak glad purchased it to save space over our large plastic water containers that just took up so much room.
Probably wise to not try and fill all the way. I leave them a little floppy (because that's the easy fill level in a bathtub) and think its a good idea to reduce stress on them (by floppy i mean not 100% full) Perhaps that is the leakage problem people encounter?
These that I purchased here look like my old ones purchased at Walmart years ago, but they are nowhere near the quality. I predict 3-5 camping trips before they leak. It's made from a very thin material that can be punctured easy. Also, I'm using them in warm weather. I suspect creases in colder weather will crack and spring leaks it's so thin. Even in the summer, it can get low 30s F in the high mountains, so we'll see what happens on one of those trips. Also, the valve will open just sitting in the back of the truck. I lost 2.5 gallons out of one of them during transport. Gravity will literally open these valves if not positioned favorably. I need to come up with a safety wire method to keep them closed. I like them because they are collapsible when empty, however due to poor thin material, I don't think they'll last long. We'll see.
The only downfall is these only last through about 15-20 uses if folded up after each use. There is no reinforcment at the corners and sharp folds at the corners often crack the plastic after several uses.

Pustekuchen!!!
- Folds flat
- Lightweight when empty
- good pouring spout
- floppy when half full so you must put it on even ground or else it will tip
- spout does not seal perfectly so it drips if it tips over, even with the spout closed.
Achtung, in gefülltem Zustand sehr schwer (20 kg).
