Mix beats with any device with BeatPad 2 from Reloop. Made for iPad, Android and Mac , the BeatPad 2 is the only professional and truly reliable cross-platform controller that is able to completely utilize the full potential of the award-winning DJAY 2 mixing software from Algoriddim. Based on the original BeatPad controller, the BeatPad 2 works plug-and-play across all platforms. Whether you're using DJAY 2 on your iOS or Android device, or using DJAY Pro on Mac - the integration is seamless and completely stress-free. Slicer, loop, sampler and dynamic multi-effect control are just a few of the exciting remixing possibilities that can now be controlled directly via the BeatPad 2. The touch-sensitive drum pads with smart RGB illumination give you visual feedback for the selected mode so you know exactly what you're doing. Matching the colors of the software, 8 cue points and 6 samples per deck can be triggered straight from the BeatPad 2's control surface. BeatPad 2 is the first controller on the market that can directly control DJAY 2's Slice and Slice Loop mode. Thanks to the flexible EQ preset switch on the device's rear side, each channel can be adjusted according to the DJ's individual requirements. With Algoriddim's DJAY 2.5 update, you can have all your favorite artists, current charts and personal playlists always with you, thanks to the seamless Spotify integration. You can mix millions of tracks instantly with your BeatPad, as if the music is on your iOS device! Also, finding the perfect next track to mix has never been easier: the innovative Match feature recommends tracks that go well with what the DJ is currently playing. Track preview is now possible within the browser function without needing to load a track, while ''Queue List'' represents a virtual queue where tracks can be dropped on the fly.
Top Customer Reviews
This comes with the software and is supported by DJAY 2 and DJAY pro. Its funny because I actually have used DJAY for some time now. I have also used Serato and others as well. I understand Serato is the standard of most clubs etc but honestly do not get the hype. DJAY Pro has literally all the features of Serato now PLUS it has an IPAD option that allows you to link this device to it. And all the functions work the same. DJAYing with the IPAD through this device or with DJAY Pro on your CPU make this the most flexible device on the market. This is where the Beatpad-2 stands above all other controllers on the market. No other controller and software seamlessly blends the ability to use software that allows you to mix with your IPAD and CPU so seamlessly. This is a great differentiating feature.
The actual device is great. It is not as big as some of the Pioneer Controllers, but for most home DJs has almost all of the same features as the more expensive options. With up to 9 cue saves, the ability to perform slips, touch controls on the jog wheels, etc. this deck has it all. It is not as "flashy" as some other controllers I have seen but is as good. And again it works flawlessly with the software described above. I would say that if you are used to using DJAY2 on the IPAD and understand those features, you will be immediately familiar with how to use this device. Once you plug the device into the CPU or IPAD with DJAY it immediately recognized the software and the buttons glow and sync automatically. The software pulls the audio files from your iTunes playlist and enables you to cue them up from the Beatpad-2. Once the songs are in your deck, the touch sensitive wheels simulate a "spin" with the lights around the decks spinning in the direction of the player. The cue spots light up according to the marked cues in DJAY Pro or DJAY 2. The buttons respond flawlessly and I have had no problems. This is an upgrade from the original beadpad in almost every way. The effect buttons are all able to be cued easily and managed accordingly. The outputs are all standard and up to par with any Pioneer brand or otherwise. I use to Pioneer speakers and have plugged into other speakers flawlessly.
I cannot be more happy with this upgrade. As DJAY has improved their most integrated deck has as well. I understand that they now SYNC with the DDJ-SX2 and others but, they cannot sync with the IPAD. I love to sit on my couch and manage Cues without having to pull out the whole controller. Then just plug it in when I am up to it. This is a great mid range deck that will work for most DJ's. If you use the Algoriddim software, you will love this deck.
I had otus by eks controller for at least 8 years.
