Reloop MIXTOUR is a compact, two-channel DJ controller that allows you to get the party started anywhere, anytime. Through close cooperation with Algoriddim, Reloop has developed a fully-integrated device that fuses vital mixer functions with a transport and remix section. Whether you're using iOS, Android, PC or Mac - with Reloop MIXTOUR, everything is possible. MIXTOUR's pad section comes packed with functions. The transport mode includes Play, Cue, Sync and Auto-Loop controls. In Cue mode it is possible to set, store and trigger up to 4 cue points. By entering shift mode, you can also set grids or change loop lengths with the same controls. The rubberized trigger pads used for the transport controls are not only highly tactile, but they're also lit by two-color LEDs, indicating which mode is active so you're never confused in the mix. The strong, durable, full-size control knobs and 45mm Pro-Faders are set out in the same way as a class-leading club mixer. The three-band EQ, gain trim pots, bipolar filters and VU meter ensure you have everything you need to perform. All controls have been rigorously tested to ensure a high-quality performance every time you play, and the whole MIXTOUR carries with it a sense of solidity and reliability. The unique Reloop Trax-Encoder not only catches the eye, it also gives convenient and comfortable control over your music library. An amazing club-ready sound with low latency and low-noise playback best describe the integrated interface. Reloop MIXTOUR is fully MIDI-mappable; any MIDI-capable software, like Traktor or Virtual DJ, can be easily controlled. Mix more than 20 million tracks with Spotify & DJAY 2. Spotify and DJAY2 takes away the need for you to store huge music libraries on your device. Spotify is also equipped with an innovative Match & Mix system which analyzes each track's genre, BPM and pitch, and is able to suggest the next track for your mix.
Top customer reviews
Bam! The Reloop MIXTOUR.
I was able to get the MIXTOUR sameday shipping from amazon and had it plugged in and running right after I heard the box drop at my front door.
I played around with the MIXTOUR for about 2 hours and then left the djay app on auto mix for about 6 more hours to see if there were any audio drop outs. Once again it performed flawlessly. I used Native Instruments Traktor a few years back and was always dissappointed when it would have a dropout or glitch. Not only was it embarasing, but it would sometimes glitch and project a horrible painful sound.
Everything you need to give you control over the mix.
Access 9 cue markers.
Fx... So fun.
No tempo control.
No mic input.
The cons are just things that would make it over the top awesome. (and a different product)
For the price and what it offers this thing is worth every penny.
I will keep you posted as I have a few parties that this will be handy to use. Any issuese that arise I will report.
If you are like me and love mixing it up when you can, this package will not dissapoint.
Sounds like a 5 star review, so why only 3?
In my opinion lack of pitch control is a HUGE gap, and renders this controller nearly useless. Djay 2's built-in beat matching tends to not work too well, especially with certain styles of music I like to mix (e.g. drum n bass). I constantly need to make minor adjustments if I'm working on a mix that lasts more than a few seconds. And since this controller doesn't have pitch control, that means I have to go back to the screen again and again. If I'm always forced to use the screen, remind me why I need an external controller..?
Based on my experience with this I would not hesitate to buy another Reloop product, but if I could go back I would have passed on this one.
THE BAD: Why it only gets 2 Stars:
I really wanted to use the MIXTOUR to DJ with an iPad. I wanted a quick easy setup for gigs that only need something simple. But the Reloop design made this product VERY inconvenient for a live gig. The sad thing is that I ended up sticking with DJAY and the Traktor Z1 instead because it gets all the important things right - even if I can't use the majority of the controls on the Z1. For that I'm giving it 2 Stars.
Here's what's wrong with the MIXTOUR and right on the TRAKTOR Z1
MIXTOUR iOS Cable - The cable is way too short, non-standard and extremely expensive for extra sets. First, they should fire the bozo who decided to save money on an extra 1-2 feet of cable. Now I have to add an extra point of possible failure with an extender cord. In addition, I also have to buy and carry around a double set of extra non-standard cables (the very expensive iOS cable + extender cable). And if you actually try and buy a backup iOS cable, - they charge you almost 1/3 of the MIXTOUR's price. Sorry guys, I just have better things to do with my Time and Money.
And after all that ---- it's actually easier to just use a laptop with a standard USB cable since the whole iOS cable issue totally defeats the purpose of a small quick iPad setup. The problem with a laptop is that there are better laptop interfaces out there.
Z1 Cable - Traktor made this simple - One cable for 30-Pin devices, One Cable for Lighting. I just buy a backup cable for my iOS device - slightly expensive but not un-reasonably so. It's just way more convenient --- even though I can only use the basic volume controls on the Z1!!!! That's it. I'm not futzing around and schlepping cables because of a dumb design decision. Instead, I'm setup and entertaining people.
DIGITAL AUDIO CONVERTERS (this knocks out a whole star by itself)
Hands down the Z1 WINS it just sounds better. I took both of these to several gigs and AB'd the two together. First it's extremely noticeable that the Z1 DA converters is just hands down sound better. But what's worse, is that at every venue, I had people walking up to me and asking why the sound went bad when I switched to the MIXTOUR! It's that noticeable (yes I tried to match sound levels). If you're just using the MIXTOUR by itself - people might not notice, but they sure did notice when I switched between the two. Not good Reloop, you got some catching up to do in this area.
So it's an okay device if you're using a laptop or in studio but if you're using an iPad - it's very inconvenient.
I did discover that the iOS version of DJAY PRO software would hang on occasion (seeming when I clicked a few things at once (either on controller or screen). I believe the recommend resolution is to shut down all other apps. I ran this over the weekend for about 4 hours having it only hang once (cause I neglected to shut down other apps...once I did it ran fine for another 2 hours).
