Kat's life was stuck in a rut, as a struggling mom with weight issues. All that changed one day when she purchased a used Wii machine and a genie popped out.
The story involves time travel and in my opinion the plot is arranged perfectly and all questions you might have from the first book are answered in the second. The characters are well developed and you care deeply about them from the start of the book. The book has sadness as well as laugh out loud moments.
You might think that having a genie and falling in love with him would make the character's life easier to live, but that isn't the case, but as in all romance books, things find a way to work out and have a happily ever after ending. (I did check mark no violence, there is one scene with a bit, but it is done in a funny way, and I would not consider it violent.)
READ this book! You won't regret it!
I would read more from this author.
I love the Alyssa story line as it talks about issues mothers face and how self-esteem is passed down to generations. There is a special moment between Cat and Alyssa with a counsellor where they talk and have deep conversations.
“Never stop searching for the people and places that let you be yourself” & “It’s bliss to be loved for exactly who you are.” These lessons as well as the book are REMARKABLY GREAT!
Stewart's distinctive voice--light-hearted comedy mixed with a splash of drama--brings Strangely, Incredibly Good (book one in the series) to a remarkably great conclusion.
