Recieved to the us exactly 1 week before the first projected delivery day. This paint is absolutely gorgeous! I made a color chart because colors are hard to see dry. I thought some looked the same wet, but dry I can see the different hue in each. Pigment is phenomenal. So glad I sprung for the big set! Worth the wait. Only con was having to pry out and unwrap every. Single. Pan.... but they were fresh and it kept it safe, so worth it! If you're a serious painter, buy this.

This is undoubtedly the best paint I have ever used. In a comparison test I used several of the major brands side by side. The colors appeared identical but behaved differently. I found the Rembrandt had more "life," and independent action.........Several well known artists refer to it as 'The mind of watercolor." I found that if I left things alone instead of fussing with them, the paint seemed to augment my work. I would come back after it had dried and see shifts that pulled my piece together. I am not a well seasoned artist and this was amazing to me. I learned a great deal, with practice, about leaving things alone and learning that the paint is part of the process. Watercolor became a cooperative venture instead of a controlling one. I know that many top of the line artist brands have devoted fans and I never understood why. Now I do.......... .

The Box that Drops Half Pans

Before I say anything else, I want to say that I really love the paint. Fantastic pigments with beautiful transparency! I cannot say enough for the paint. Absolutely beautiful and I will be using this paint heavily in the future!

My Biggest complaint is that the little half pans just jump ship. I have never been so angry in my life at a paint tin. They do not stay in place no matter how far I bend the little lips. To compensate I chose to put magnets on the back, but it does defeat the entire purpose of this type of pallet.

I have tried pretty much every half pan watercolor pallete there is, and this by far is my favorite. The way these layer, lift, and blend is like an absolute dream. These are made with real pigments instead of those cheap dyes and never gets chalky or muddy. I also love having a huge color selection like this. Beware though, cause you will never go back lol!
