I loved watching the resolution, the unexpected developments-both bad and good, the selfless sacrifices, and especially one character’s realization that her controlling behavior would cost her dearly if she didn’t release her hold. Nicole took two messy lives, gradually dusted off all of the chaff, and skillfully “repurposed” them together as a perfect package bound happily ever after with a yellow ribbon.
We first met Evelyn in More Than One Night.
Everyone thinks that Evelyn's life is perfect, but all is not what it seems.
We first heard of Cody in More Than One Night, as Evelyn's one night stand.
Brought together for Mel and Daniel's wedding many things come to light.
Join Evelyn and Cody as they navigate life and come to realize they are human and make mistakes, but are deserving of love, flaws and all.
Can they find their HEA like Mel and Daniel?
5 deserving of love stars.
I wasn't sure about Cody and Evelyn because she was so very messed up, but as the book went along, I finally got to like Evelyn as the ice around her melted and she learned to let people see she's a faulty human just like the rest of them. As she thawed, her relationship with her mother kind of took a turn toward the not so good even as her other relationships began to get better.
I love how Cody promised to still be friends with the boys even if things didn't work out with Evelyn because that's just the kind of guy he is. Cody's a good guy that overlooked his own troubles and heartache and kept giving Evelyn chances until they finally got it right.
