"There are so many things I loved about this sweet and funny book. The writing was flawless, the story was addictive; I cried, I laughed out loud and I swooned... I devoured every single minute... all the way through it was handled with so much love and a huge dash of humor... You felt it all and it was such a wonderful experience... Remember When was fun, it was sexy, it was a giggle a minute, it was beautiful....yep, it was perfect."~Gitte and Jenny, Totally Booked Blog
"If you think you know what this book is about based solely on the synopsis, you would be wrong. Remember When is so much more... I laughed out loud, I cried, I swooned, I squeed... I angered, I hurt, and I was in total angst a couple of times... [and] I am SO utterly, undeniably, completely, and overwhelmingly in love with Trip."~Kathy, Romantic Reading Escapes

& SO SO SO SO FUNNY!!! I LOVE this author! I love her humor. I'm officially making this series my favorite & my favorite author. The best I've read of all times. The perfect mix of everything you would ever want when searching in the romance department for a new read.
Now with that out of my system. This book is a fun and quick read. Boy moves to new area, meets girl and girl likes boy, boy becomes friends with girls group of friends. They all hang out and go do things together. Girl listens to her friend about not hanging around new boy so much, girl listens, new boy is upset. Towards the end of the story these two teens finally realize that they both like each other and they end up together and then everyone in the group goes off different directions to college or their own adventure.
Not a bad book, I do want to read the rest of the trilogy.
Not a happy ever after, though. This is a part 1. And yet it was also a book one. It's Layla's senior year in high school and the trials and growth and changes faced all let the end of the book feel like an end to a story. Yet only the beginning to the love story.
There are tons of books where the back story is hinted at enough that the main story is fine without this kind of detail. But I feel that I know Layla and Trip. I feel that their story is richer for having this amount of time spent on that formative part of their lives.
Beautifully written, heartbreakingly real, at times tedious as growing up really felt. Brilliant.
Yes the book has a movie star and the bad boy angle, but I absolutely loved Trip, especially since the book wasn't what I was expecting at all. I thought I was going to get lots of smut, which is great, but I didn't have high hopes for the rest of Trip and Layla's time together. Boy was I wrong. This is a beautiful story, and I can't wait to read more about Trip and Layla.
As much I loved Trip, I think I loved Layla more. She's beautiful on the inside and out, but it's her voice I adore most of all. She's irreverent and so pragmatic.
If I'm not making much sense, it's because I'm finding it hard to put into words why this book clicked with me. I'm going to have to tell you to pick it up for yourself and see if it doesn't blow you away too.
