I have not read Phantom Self yet, so I cannot compare this to it, but if you are new to the information, you could read this book and get a ton of insights, but if you want the whole story from start to finish, I recommend the Perception Deception. It is far more detailed and structured better. There is a staggering amount of challenging information in this book. You must read this with an open mind and heart. I would recommend watching his talks on Youtube, especially Awaken!!, which was done after the Perception Deception. It is probably going to be one of the last all-day events you'll be able to see because I don't think he is recording on his Worldwide Wake-Up Tour. That will allow you to get a feel for what he is about. I wouldn't buy any books until you've seen him give a 10-hour speech connecting dots. I've been a fan of his since before Human Race: Get Off Your Knees came out and the more I've watched him every week through videocasts and now I've started buying his books, he is the real deal and any one of his books would be worth reading. It's just some are better than others. But the recent ones have most of the information that will change your life if you've never come across this sort of information. And as David says, "There's always more to know," so be sure to buy his newer books as they come out. He always surprises me with new information almost weekly, so he is on a mission.
I read the book cover to cover in a matter of days. He truly weaves a sticky spider web of lies and deceits coming forth from the rich elite and secret society agenda. He spells out that the nature of general society has been one of victimhood and if you want change, you have to get off your duff and make something happen. He is attempting to give back to mankind several gifts, hope, dignity and respect but it must be at a cost. The cost is leaving the comfortable and familiar to take action instead of sleeping in the slumber of denial and acquiesence. David stresses it must be through taking back your individual power that we can even begin to have a future worth living, one of real freedom not one of the illusion of freedom. I personally say if you do not like what you see happening around you, take a gander at what David is showing you. It is an eye opener!
Critique - Excellent information, but virtually no references cited or bibliography pages given. Other of Icke's books do offer some references, but for the amount of information given, I would like to see more exhaustive sources for his research.
