No. Patience and humility are fruits of the Spirit- they are a natural result of abiding with Christ and grow naturally. There is a clear distinction between gifts and fruit.
Gifts of the Spirit are:
Wisdom, Knowledge, Faith, Healing, Miracles, Prophecy, Discerning of Spirits, Speaking in Tongues and Interpretation of Tongues - Eph 4:7-13 and Romans 12:3-8 and 1 Cor 12:1-11
Fruit of the Spirit is:
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-Control
It's sad when preachers preach a gospel without power. I thought this would be something more along the lines of Acts and how to respectfully invite the Holy Spirit to partner with us but it seems to be more of "being as good as you can in your own human power".
Hear the voice of God for yourself and you'd never be the same again...His voice does not condemn, does not make you feel guilty or bad...is always gentle, always loving... a good place to start would be John Paul Jackson's "The Art of Hearing God"...
Overall, sorely disappointed with this bible study...
