Shred Debris to a Pulp
Blow debris out of your way or shred it to a pulp. The Remington RM193BVT Shredder is a 3-in-1 machine that sucks up, blows away, and shreds debris wherever it lies. Air speeds of up to 200 mph blast leaves and clippings off your patio or driveway, while the vacuum plucks debris from hard surfaces and crevices. Any stray twig or small branch that survives the first two attacks is doomed to face the Shredder’s titanium-coated mulching blades. These blades ruthlessly chew and chip lawn debris into a fine, pulverized mulch, which you can spread on garden beds to serve as a warning for any other debris that dares to fall on your yard.
Convert the Shredder into a mulcher, vacuum, or blower in seconds to tackle all your yard debris with just one machine.
Blow debris right off the face of the earth (or your patio) with this high-speed, concentrated airstream.

Top Customer Reviews
The power of the blower is amazing. Keep your little kids and pets away at all times.
The suction power of the vac is excellent. Its perfect for sucking up leaves and small debris. I vacuum leaves situated over small rocks and it won't pick up the rocks! I do keep the vac arm at least a few inches above the surface just in case.
The quality of materials is excellent. The attachments and the main body actually seem really well made.
The positions to hold the vac/blower are pretty good. I like having different handle options.
The power cord connection is on the front of the main body. This creates an awkward situation. I would prefer if the cord plugged in from the rear of the machine.
The vac bag is flawed. The material is porous. When sucking up leaves, leaf dust seeps through the bag. Don't wear your best outfit, because you will get dust all over your pants and back.
Vacuuming up large twigs, bark can be an issue. I have vacuumed up some debris causing the blade to stop spinning and the unit to start smelling like burnt rubber. I quickly turned it off. I opened up the blade compartment and gave it a little shake. I didn't see any large objects fall out. I turned it back on and it was good to go. Steer clear of large mulch and bark.
Changing from vac to blower or blower to vac takes a little muscle but is generally very easy to do. The attachments fit very securely to/against the main body, which can require a nice tug or pull to remove, but nothing major to speak of.
It was relatively easy to assemble (once I put aside the instructions which were confusing) and it's quick and painless to change it from blower to vacuum. (My previous blower vac took ages to change over and also only had one speed.)
This unit has 2 speeds - I call it normal and turbo. When using the blower, don't use the turbo (II) speed anywhere near rocks, small stones or windows - this thing can REALLY blow! It picked up a die cast toy car and blew it 10 feet across the yard - imagine that going in the windows direction and you'll end up with my $500 sliding door replacement bill from last year's weed whacking disaster.
So, the blower worked super well, blowing leaves into a huge pile in each corner of the yard and I wondered if the vacuum was going to be any good (my last B&D one was only so-so). Well, I was blown away by the speed it sucked up this pile into the bag - the only problem was the bag was full very quickly and had to be emptied, but it was easy to detach and empty and reattach in mere minutes.
I can't answer for how long it will last, but I think it is well worth the price on Amazon and with Amazon's great track record for returning items, if it broke as quickly as some people have said I wouldn't have any problem exchanging it for another of the same unit, since it is performing well and I would assume a fault if it stopped within a couple of uses.
My one piece of advice - if you have mulch, use the blower on the lowest speed or that mulch will be everywhere, same goes for gravel.
I have a big yard with woods at the bottom so we get a ton of leaves - can't wait to get back out there and finish the job (unfortunately today it started raining half way through).
I've seen some complaints about how the bag isn't bigger. It starts to get a little heavy and bulky when it's full. Yes, if it were bigger you wouldn't have to empty it as often, but you would be lugging around a massive heavy bag. Seems like it's about as big as it can be without being inconvenient.
