Top customer reviews
It's pros: Lights can be diffused on the front. When in the dark of the wilderness, it's BRIGHT. It's got a blinking light on the back so people can see you. It's got a red nightvision light as well.
Cons: One time I was sitting in a chair around a campfire and I rested my head in a weird way on the back of my chair and the batteries all fell out somehow. That's happened once out of 100 times, so I attribute that to user error.
Now while camping three of us have the same headlamp and we love it.
Light is bright, fits even my melon head and the batteries seem to last forever.
Must turn off when facing other workers to keep from blinding them, although they typically will accuse you of "showing off", It is immediately obvious that most other headlights are far weaker. This superiority has a corrosive effect on the honesty that most tradesmen have. I have yet to have one stolen but it is obvious that if I accidentally leave one overnight it will likely be missing the next morning or so I have been warned. Its comfortable balance tends to make you forget you have it on. Be prepared to find yourself in embarrassing circumstances when you realize you are in a retail establishment not only with it on but with the light blazing.
I do plumbing and electrical in cramped attics and I find this lamp largely eliminates the need to string work lights. This puts more light than I need (but yet appreciate) right where I need it. What more can you ask? I did buy two, one from Woot and the second from AMZ.
