There are 3 suits and special cards that change the behavior of the game mid-game which makes it very fun. I would highly recommend if you are in the market for a great 2 player card game.
The twist is you can win just as many points being "humble" and winning almost no rounds, as being "victorious" and winning 7-9. But if you win more than that, a second twist, is no points! What seems pretty simple can get strategic and cutthroat as you sabotage your opponent by "making" them win.
The the thing we were most confused by was what to do when the decree cards were all spent (as it's only 7 rounds), but in the end we just reshuffled them. Whether or not you are meant to play them as-is and just isn't in the rule booklet, so that makes it house rules.
Its much like war in the fast paced gameplay, and how you are each playing and taking duets of cards. It's like uno in that you are trying to match suits and numbers, but there are special cards that change the game.
For us, this took only 3 rounds of play, between trick points and bonus treasure points. I can't see this taking more than 4 or 5, and the rounds go very quickly once you are comfortable with game play
The deck is small, just 33 cards, but has beautiful artwork. I love foxes, which adds to the appeal. It is a little like War, but much more interesting. There is even a story, partially in the directions. You can look up the rest online. Otherwise the artwork on the cards might seem a little random.
I have played it twice now, and it was an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon with my aunt! I look forward to playing it again soon.

I'm very disappointed with this as I feel like I have been conned out of a lot of money. My advice save yourself £24 buy one deck of cards and learn to play hearts. At least that can be played with more than two players as well.
I bought it for his birthday and we both can enjoy it!
