A few annoyances after installation of my Bullet 4 camera system. These short comings are mainly for the 3 cameras installed outside.
- the camera motion detection has too many false triggers and sometimes don’t even detect motion in the evening. This is with sensitivity set at 40.
- camera images is pretty good for 4MP but couldn’t see license plates of cars parking off the street about 15 feet away.
- the recorder froze and I couldn’t view videos remotely sometimes. I had to log back into the nvr to be able to view remotely again.
- replay of videos from nvr is slow and sometimes it freezes.
- one of the cameras stopped working after one day. I noticed that one of the connector pins was loose at the cat5 connector. tech support is responsive. They got back to me within a day to have that camera replaced.
- mounting instruction could be improved. Rain water got into the cat5 connection of the camera. There was no instructions on how to install the rubber seal. I had to figure it out. After properly installing the seal and if the connector is clipped against the wall with the rubber seal end facing upward, water will get in. I had to reposition the connector up side down then retain it against the wall.

I spent the better part of a week searching for POE 8 channel security systems. Just when I was about to purchase an 8 channel Riolink system I found this 4 channel considerably cheaper. Was very surprised on how easy the hook ups were. Hardest part is running the cables, luckily I live in a small condo so 60ft ethernet cable was just enough.By Angel A. on March 13, 2020
