Product Description

This repair kit supplies the capacitors needed to repair the power supply board inside a LG 47LC7DF-UK LCD monitor. This repair kit is for the power supply board pictured above. Please verify that the power supply board inside your LCD monitor or TV matches this power supply board before ordering!

PLEASE NOTE: You are not purchasing a power supply board, only the capacitors needed to repair it!

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors

- Flickering screen

- Screen image disappears after several seconds

- Dim screen

- Slow start

- Power LED on, but no picture

- Unusual colors and/or lines

The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.

If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.

New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.

We only use the highest quality Panasonic, Nichicon and Rubycon capacitors in our repair kits.

This LG 47LC7DF-UK LCD monitor repair kit contains 9 capacitors needed to repair the power supply board inside your LG 47LC7DF-UK LCD monitor. This kit does not include the large 400-450v capacitor, that capacitor may be purchased separately.

We only use high quality capacitors manufactured by Panasonic, Nichicon and Rubycon in our kits. We do not use CapXon capacitors.

Links to online instructions will be included with the kit.

If we don't have a kit for your LCD monitor or TV, we will gladly assemble one.

You gotta be a DIY kinda guy to even consider this, so here's my 2 cents. Good to have somebody telling me this was even possible. Video tutorials are good if you've never done this, but I did alot of this as a kid so this wasn't my first rodeo. If you don't have the solder or wick that is a nice bonus. Practice a few times on some old dead equipment and you will get the hang of it. Kit had more stuff than I needed, but did not have a complete match to my blown components - I had 7 blown caps. Read up on "capacitor substitution" in case this happens to you. One cap was OK on capacitance, but much higher in voltage. OK to swap. Another was nowhere close to the ones supplied. Temp, capacitance and voltage need to be at least as high. Lots of other specs, (leakage, ripple, etc) you are in the dark about. Sent a couple of emails over three weeks and got no response, despite the assurance they would help you. That's my only beef. Eventually I took a shot at it. Found an electronics parts site with a great selection grid (company is Mouser, Amazon can censor that if they want). I selected for major name-brand hi-temp general purpose caps of similar size, with specs from blown one. Pushed the various specs to the edges, focusing on CHEAP mass market components, until I got a likely candidate, and ordered a .85 cent cap with $6 for shipping. OUCH! Did the deed carefully, took about 3 hours start to finish. Got out the fire extinguisher, turned it on and OMG - it really worked. I was floored. I hate to rate them 3 stars because I fixed a nice TV for less than $30 and could not have done it without AT LEAST their expertise and effort. No hard feelings, just want to help out others if they are in this boat. I was skeptical from the start, but let me tell you, if you have one of these cases, you really CAN fix it. Might as well start by ordering from them and winging it if you need to.

Did this repair a couple of years ago when it started to give me problems, i took it apart and seen leaking and bloated caps. The caps were the exact same MFD as the factory, the TV is still going today.

What the seller should mention is that if on the power supply board one of the 2 fuses are burnt open, the 9 caps will not solve the issue. You will be having to order an extra kit including the Fet(s) and Diode(s) and ofcourse Fuse(s). Maybe this seller can provide that also. Hope this helps.

I am a electrical service tech and know my way around PCBs and soldering, that was no problem. The capacitors were not all of same rating and size. I can understand if there changed or improved but there was no directions for which ones were changed and which location were they should be placed. Tried contacting this customer through web and phone. Could not get them. I since spent the $90 for new board and works fine

Worked as advertised. All the capacitors were there although not all the same size as my tv. There were some that were just a little bit bigger which I guess is better. Thanks for the fix. Saved me lots of money.

With it I fixed my 1400.00 tv for less than 40.00. It took me about 1 hr. Hardest part was removing the
board from tv. Lots of screws, but not a problem.

Thanks, Bob

Yes, you can.
Just pay attention to which value goes where, and watch the polarity (where the stripe goes) and you will be fine.
