I was disappointed to see how badly these deteriorated in what I thought was a short amount of time. Though it has been 9 years since I ordered them, you can see they have been looking bad for a while, going from yellow and compliant to dark and crumbly. Replacement foam headphone pads cost so much for what they are, and are an even worse value if they don't last long. These were always inside an air conditioned home, though admittedly near stereo equipment, so may have received some heat, but it's not like I stored them on top of an amplifier or a plasma television.
