From the Manufacturer
The first thing you’ll notice about our orchestral style music stand is its generous sized music desk and two tier vertical shaft for multiple height adjustments making it ideal for any musician’s seated or standing performance position.
Best of all, this robust music stand collapses and folds down into a small size that can be easily stored in an instrument case, gig bag or backpack. Additionally, the desk detaches creating a slimmer profile for quicker and easier transportation.
Two metal spring-arm extensions hold sheet music securely in place while performing allowing each player to securely hold their place while practicing.
The heavy-duty tripod leg housing provides a firm and stable base of support for any music books it holds, but also prevents any tips or accidents during the set up and take down process.
The non-slip rubber caps help protect your instrument from sliding around or moving during practice. Whether it's tile, wood, or carpet the Reprize Orchestral Music Stand provides each user with a solid base of support to ensure hours of safe and comfortable use.
The Repize Orchestral Music Stand is ideal for anyone looking for a quality music stand at an exceptional value. Designed with the needs of the user in mind, our Orchestral music stand offers a robust and firm music stand at an affordable price.

The tray is very thin sheet steel ... to the point where it easily bends with hand pressure. Mine came with a slight bend in the bottom, which I straightened in a second. It also did not sit straight on the stand. Again, a simple (and light) twist straightened that out, too. The tray sags without tightening the attachment knob really hard. In short, if you actually need a stand to travel with, you can pretty much count on tweaking the thing periodically.
I DO like the fact that the stand is light, of course. The tripod base adjusts all the way to completely flat, if you like that for stability. The knobs, while small (except the tray attachment knob) are covered in rubber for grip. The tray pops off easily. I particularly like the page holders. Instead of a simple wire, they are a flexy, two-part holder that works really well for sheet, or loose music pages. They adjust easily and actually hold (!) unlike almost every other wire holder on the market.
This type of stand is an improvement over the typical, chrome-plated steel, folding tray stand. It’s lighter, and the tray is more functional. But you sacrifice the foldability and, in my opinion, the longevity.
I see only one scenario where this stand makes sense, and that’s where one needs an inexpensive, knockdown stand with a full-size tray, and for sheet music only. AND where light weight is the most important consideration. There are better, stronger folding stands on the market for most purposes, however.
What I do not like about this music stand is the adjustment knobs are too small and can be difficult to turn. I extremely dislike the metal spring arm extensions - they are fine to hold music open ONLY IF there are no page turns. Once they're holding the music in place, there is absolutely no way for anything other than a laborious page turn where the music must be moved and arms put back in place. The design doesn't make a bit of sense.
That being said, it's sturdy enough for the price point and the top stays well in place. It's a decent music stand for the price.
