This was a wonderful read full of suspense, surprise mystery with many twists and turns to the story. A heart pounding, edge of your seat read!
I loved the character development of those that had committed the crimes and was intrigued by the way the story unfolds and the pieces to the jigsaw fitted together, many that I didn't see coming!
The chemistry between the main characters is superb. Dylan's, home life with Jen, has equally as much drama going on as his work life and the banter with his colleagues always puts a smile on my face.
What I like about this series, is that you know the authors have served many years in the police force so all the good and mundane procedures, paperwork scenes are true to life. I can not wait for the next book!
This was a wonderful read that I highly Recommend!
Jack Dylan is showing more of his sensitive side in this one as he guides Vicki through her Sergeant's promotion boards, negotiating the perils of nepotism from 'the brass', while investigating the case of the missing cadaver.
The storyline was intriguing and like the reviewer above, this aquatic erotica stuff is a new one on me. But perhaps, if you're so inclined, trying it in the bath would be safer...
A great addition to the series. Can't wait for the next. Highly recommend. Five stars!
What I love about this series is that the authors manage to shock us in each book with the varied crimes that the team are working on. I have to admit the set of crimes committed in Reprobates, whilst baffling and shocking, didn't hit me quite as hard as the crimes in the previous novels but then that is real life, some crimes will always hit us harder than others, especially the ones that involve abuse or children.
All the cases seem to be isolated incidents and I love how through the great work, not just by Jack and his team, but also by Vicky in her new role, start to put all the pieces together and work out the connections of all three cases.
Jack and Jen are great characters which give the readers a glimpse of what it is like to be in the job as well as married to someone in it. It explores the relationships within both and it certainly makes for some great reading.
Yet another highly enjoyable novel that has left me very much eager to read the next one.
My thanks to the authors for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
