4.0 out of 5 stars How My Students Learned to Write in Spanish May 15, 2000
Format:Paperback
I bought this book at a local book store on a whim. Usually, my kids like to try and guess the outcome of a story, so I figured they would like to try their hand at writing one. We had a ball. They especially loved doing it in Spanish. My kinders and 1st graders had some trouble, but my 2nd graders ate it up!

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed February 13, 2002
Format:Paperback
I was disappointed when I got this book. I intended to use it with my first and second graders, but this being only the first year for them to have the Spanish language, they couldn't understand the words and there were quite a few words on every page. First graders can't read very well yet, anyway, so I've only used one story out of this book so far this year. It would be more for third graders because of the level that it's at. It would be nice to have an English translation for each book so when the students read it at home, they can remember what the book was about.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great resource for parents or teachers April 20, 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
My daughter reads great in Spanish and I was looking for something that would take her to the next level and get her to now practice writing. She's often been resistant to writing much more that a word or two, so this has been a fun way to get her more engaged. There's something different between just doing a worksheet and actually creating an entire "book" that makes her more excited and gives her more ownership, and these reproducible books do just that. I just hope/wish I can find something at the next level when she masters these ones.
