I bought a case of this stuff because the roof of my sun-room was leaking. I only used less than 2 cans and it stopped all problems, I applied a light second coating about a month later just because I had extra and was a bit paranoid (the leak had made a mess) and I can report that almost a year has gone by and the place is dry as a bone. I highly recommend this stuff for any outside leaks, I wanted to use it in my tile shower but the vapors are pretty strong and inside use is not really recommended by the manufacturer. It applies clear (assuming you bought the clear, it comes in black and silver also) and I still have about 9 cans which I will use on various projects (like my gutters), I am not sure how long it lasts but it shows no signs of wear or deterioration as of yet and it is exposed to sun, rain, snow, hot , and cold so I am impressed.

UPDATE: Well 2 things, the CLEAR turns a bit yellow after a week or 2, not a big thing but thought you might want to know. Other thing which may only apply to me, if you have pine cones and small limbs dropping from 40-60 ft up onto your roof it can cause small leaks in the sprayed area (this is not spray iron) so you have to be diligent :) I need to cut down some pine trees but since they are like $1000 each to remove I guess I will just climb up and inspect every few months and use this to repair any suspect areas.

Additional Info: Folks this is a lightweight spray on sealer, it is NOT a roof patch. If you have serious leak problems or debris falling on your roof, the permanent solution is to go to Lowes and buy these 2 products and you will need about 4-5 dry days.

102 year old house in San Francisco. We had a leak coming into a downstairs room from a partially enclosed balcony above with a tile floor . Unfortunately, the room isn't used often, so there was some fairly bad damage to the plaster before we found it. I spent a day taking out all the edge grout on the balcony, filling in any visible gaps with silicone, then sanding over that to make it look like grout. There was simply no visible way for the water to get into the wall. We waiting 24 hours, tested the balcony with a hose, and it leaked into the room below in a few minutes.

So I ordered this stuff. If this didn't work, well, who knows. I was thinking I'd have to put some sort of awning over the balcony. Sprayed around the edges of the balcony, where the floor meets wood shingles, and also where it meets the copper downspout. Waited a half hour, sprayed on another coat. Waited for it to dry, tested it with the hose; FIXED! Can't get it to leak at all. I'm going to wait for it to rain a couple of times before I close up the plaster and fix the ceiling in the room below, but for now, it appears that this stuff worked, saving me what could have been thousands of dollars. (Tens of thousands if the leak had gone undetected and dryrot had set in inside the walls, as often happens in these old houses.)

I don't know how it will last, but for now, it fixed a problem for which I had no other solution, and you have to really look to see that it was used (I put it on pretty thick and you can barely see it on the shingles, grout, or tile), so if you needed to use this on a gutter or window or something that shows, you'll probably be okay. I'll check back in in a year or so to see if this held up, but for now, it's awesome.

They are NOT kidding about the fumes.

I used this product on some leaks in my hottub's plumbing and it stopped them. This saved me a lot of $$$. Then I used it on a leaky outdoor faucet and it stopped that leak too. I applied about 3 applications to each leak and allowed a good day at least between applications for drying. I couldn't believe it. I just received my second bottle as it's a good product to have around just in case. I plan to use it on some leaks I have in my old barn's tin roof. After seeing how it works and its consistency, I'm sure it will stop them too. I'm really glad I gave it a try. It's truly a great product.

We had some leaks in our roof at home and after a parade of roofers and a lot of money we decided to look elsewhere and found the Rescue 911 Instant Gutter, Roof, Concrete & PVC Sealer. I can say it has provided 90% seal. There is still one small spot that is being resilient but we are very very pleased with the results of this product so far.

Go to Home Depot and buy Rustoleum Leak Seal for $10. same thing, no hype, trusted company, no extravagant handling charges. For bigger cracks use Rust-Oleum 5091 10-Ounce Tube Watertite Poly Seal Joint Filling Waterproofing Caulking first.

May work great for some uses, but their label, nor their website warn of its reaction to gasoline. I sealed the inside of the bottom of an aluminum boat. It looked great. The finish was like a paint, not rubber. First time out a very small amount of gasoline dripped into the boat as the tank was connected. Immediately the Rescue 911 was turned to paste wherever it touched. Do not use this for anything where it can come into contact with gasoline. Definitely test and use great caution for any application where it may come into contact with fluids/chemicals other than water.
