Stacy Eaton is a USA Today Bestselling author and began her writing career in October of 2010. Stacy took early retirement from law enforcement after over fifteen years of service in 2016 due to a second serious concussion. Great addition to the Heal Me Series!!

Jake and Marisha have a chance meeting at a resort where Jake works and Marisha is on her brother’s honeymoon with him and his wife. Yeah I did a double take too when I read that. Turns out that it makes perfect sense for Marisha to be on the trip with them. It also unexpectedly provides Jake, Marisha and Tucker to cross paths again after not seeing each other in many years. The chance to reconnect is welcomed by all, but the sparks flying between Jake and Marisha might be a bit more complicated than either of them expected. There are so many factors to think about, only one of which is they don’t actually live anywhere near each other.
The characters are so fun to read about. They become real people to me while I’m engrossed in the story. It was so fun to catch up on Josey and Tucker from the Heal Me Series book, Mended. If you haven’t read it or any other previous Heal Me Series books, you really need to go back and catch up on them. Don’t get me wrong, these books are written as stand alones and you’ll really enjoy them.

Let me start by saying that I have loved this series and I like to see how it progresses and each character gets their own story. I like Marisha's character. I love the interaction between her and Tucker and Josey and even with Nathan later in the story. I love getting some follow up on how Tucker and Josey are doing. As for Jake, well, honestly he's not my favorite. It is quite possible, though, that it's because he reminds me of someone in real life. Their story however is a good one and I love the twists and turns in the relationship. Just because he isn't my cup of tea doesn't mean it's not a great story. Again, love the rest of the characters, love the setting, love the style of writing, etc. All in all enjoyable depsite my desire to punch Jake in the face. LOL

This book can be read as a stand alone, but reading the previous book will enhance your understanding of some of the characters.

Marisha Wheatcraft is on her brother Tucker’s honeymoon! Crazy as it sounds it makes sense. Josey, her sister-in-law loves to ski, and due to severe injuries Tucker suffered while working as a policeman, he has limited mobility. Solution....Marisha skis with Josey. While checking in she is annoyed by a man flirting with the desk clerk. Turns out, this annoying man is Tucker’s best friend from childhood, and her secret crush! Jake Sweeney is a para medic working for the resorts ski patrol. He loves his job, the area and would just like a promotion he feels he is due. He is known for his boundless flirting. They plan a dinner together and the sparks fly.

Jake and Marisha are very attracted to each other, and when things are good, they are very good. But tempers flare frequently, and they don’t seem to know how to talk to each other to straighten things out. It takes a near tragedy for them to realize what they truly feel for each other.
The characters are great, but I found myself getting pretty annoyed with Jake! A bit arrogant, self-centered, but down deep a good man. Marisha just has to be patient and dig a little.

Rescued is book four in Stacy Eaton's Heal Me Series and definitely worth reading.
Marisha is on Tucker and Josey's honeymoon since Tucker can't ski because of his back injury and Josey loves to ski, but Marisha doesn't want to feel like a third wheel so keeping herself busy will take some work.
Running into a childhood friend is a wonderful surprise for both Marisha and Tucker, but Marisha realizes real soon that her feelings for Jake haven't changed at all. If anything what was once a childhood crush has become an adult attraction that they both are more than willing to act on.
When disaster strikes Marisha is willing to do everything possible to help Jake heal, but he pushes her away and with no reason to stay Marisha heads home where hopefully her heart can heal.
Jake soon realizes that the only place he belongs is with those who he loves the most and the home that he always thought of as his home.

Marisha is Tucker's sister and a well-known jewellery designer. Tucker and Josey ask Marisha to go on their honeymoon with them so Josey has someone to ski with. At the resort, they see Jake. He was one of Tucker's oldest friends and Marisha would follow them everywhere. Jake and Marisha have one beautiful night together, but a jealous woman tanks it all for them. A lost promotion. A lost home. An alcoholic father. A cruel father. An avalanche. Trapped. A very serious injury.

She's tagging along with her brother and his new wife on their honeymoon so she can ski with her sister-in-law. A lot occurs which puts them in danger but Marisa and Jake survive it all. A few times during this book I felt as if Jake needed his head seen too but it was a great book.
