Sad that the author could not get over her "rejection"- either real or perceived from her parents.
Sad that she found liars on the Internet but did she always present the truth?
Sad that she abused her teenage son as her accountability partner when discussing her cybersex chat rooms.
Sad that she doesn't realize that she was a married lady-not the "politically correct" single. A single parent is one that never married or in the case of children, noting that the father is out of the picture. Her son's father was very much involved in his growing up.
Sad that she doesn't realize that manipulation does not work.
Hopefully, one day, she will realize that it is herself that needs to take responsibility for her own life and happiness-not blame everyone and everything else.
Faith Richards draws the reader into how innocently she became addicted to the world of Cyberspace. It took her away from her work, her family, her home, yes -- even her children. There are scenes in the pages that caused me to shake my head and yet, for sure, I know these kinds of foolish actions take place every single day by people who are otherwise above intelligence and standing.
Ms. Richards is also honest about her faith in God, how she managed to push his voice of reason aside, and how -- in the end -- God kept her safe until he could orchestrate her rescue.
More important than her story, however, is the upfront and frank discussion of how to help if you or someone you know/love is being held captive by the World Wide Web.
I highly recommend this book.
