This book is an overview of anti-terrorist and counter-terrorist operations, with the details on the various elite units and weapons and equipment employed by them around the world. This book goes into detail on all the major elite units with an evaluation on each unit ranking them against each other. The book also has a detailed appraisal of weapons and tactical equipment employed by these units. The book also includes lists of all elite units and terrorist groups. Overall, I have found this book to be highly readable and although the material is dated it is still historically significant in the study of modern special warfare. I believe that this title will appeal to the professional and armchair military historian and serving military personnel.
