Two of the best games ever in ONE collection!

How can you NOT love this game?! Not only do you get a remastering of one of the greatest games of all time (RE), but you also get a remastering of Resident Evil Zero! RE0 is one of the most underrated games of all time. Not sure if it's exactly underrated, or if most people didn't get around to playing it due to it appearing towards the end of the Gamecube's life cycle?

Like many people, I purchased the original Resident Evil REmaster digitally when it was released last year, but as soon as this collection was announced, I knew that I had to have it as well. I'm not a fan of digital only games, so this was a welcome addition to my collection. I'm glad they released it day one and not a few months later cause I would've had to purchase Zero digitally first then this collections later. However, these games are so awesome and timeless, I would've happily done it!

If you're a fan of either of these, this is a no brainer!

As an old school resident evil fan, and a lover of horror games, ill say this!...this is essential to every gamers collection, regardless if u are a fan of the series or not! This folks is where it all started...i lived through the psx era and i first played this game back in 98’. All i have to say, is that this remaster is prob one of the best hd remaster versions in the gaming market right now! The music, the atmosphere, the puzzles, the chills, the camera angles and gameplay make this one the father of horror and survival horror games. On the other side u get resident evil 0, which is the prequel of the series. While its the original port from the gamecube release, i can say that its also another great title and successful remaster with a little difference to the gamecube one! It wraps up the whole story/events before the mansion incident and gives u a depth in understanding the story! This collection is a must and everyone should try it out. We need more remasters like that.

Brings back a lot of good memories playing these games again for the first time in years and in HE was one of the best feelings in the word. I can remember not knowing what was going to happen next and this was the also the first time playing a game of this typ. I was instantly hooked and been playing games like this and Silent Hill ever since. So happy I ordered this and happy that it arrived on time so I could hurry and play. So glad I own these games again

Buy it! best version for both games!

I have both the originals for gamecube. This is a must have to play on ps4. The graphics are more sharper, smoother (running at 60fps), and use of the playstation controller over the gamecube one is much better. This is worth the buy if you don't have the gamecube originals, and would like to start collecting the re-releases of previous games on the ps4.

These are both new and fresh to me because I had never played either one! I didn't become a RE fan until Resident Evil 3: Nemesis I have caught on to Resident Evil Zero much faster than I have Resident Evil, but I bound and determined I'll master them both! Great fun and much different from the other games. Ammunition comes at a premium and you have to use your noggin more than once! Still, I'm not a bit disappointed.

RE 1 is awesome I remember playing the original on ps1 this version is close to that but with great graphics. RE 0 is the worst game ever I stopped playing about a 3rd of the way through the game play is alot different and you switch between characters really annoying. Buy this for RE1.

I love Resident Evil 1 the remake and though I liked Resident Evil 0 when I was eleven years old, I do NOT like it. Its story is full of holes - to the point that it becomes irrelevant and uncannon(?) once the events of RE1 take place and it could've been entirely different and better. The hard mode is TOO hard, unlike in RE1 the remake, the mechanical systems (such as no item boxes is annoying and unnecessary), and the enemies aren't nearly as good either. I'd definitely recommend buying this, however, as RE1 the Remake costs $20 elsewhere and at least with this origins collection you'll get two games for the price of one. If I were only reviewing RE1 remake, I'd give it a 5/5, and if I were only reviewing RE0, I'd give it a 2/5. What a shame, it could've easily have been a 5/5 as well.
