This is the 3rd book in the Men of Honor series by K.C. Lynn. I was completely smitten by Cade in book one and was anxious for his story from that day on. I'd like to give a few warnings because I think they are important. This book deals with difficult topics and subjects that may upset certain people. If you followed this series then you already know what happened to Cade, Jaxxon and Sawyer while they were in Iraq. But also the terror that was perpetrated against the sweet little sister of Cade was also delved into. This book will go more into depth about these scenarios. Do not go into this lightly.

The story of Cade and Faith was the sweetest most profound love story that I've come across in a long long time had a very passionate start.

But it also had a terrifying and soul destroying middle.
Cade came out of his sisters death with a strong hatred and animosity towards God and anything or anyone who stands in representation of God. So while he is serving in Iraq he comes across a beautiful red head singing her heart out and quickly she captures his attention and even though she stands for everything he hates, Faith captures him totally. One splendid and erotic night is shared and their souls are connected beyond belief.

Unfortunately this is where their nightmare begins and they are ripped apart for 2 years. But when love is meant to be ..things will fall into place and these two are suddenly forced back into each others lives. Their chemistry was as strong as ever and their love never went away. Fate is strong and nothing was going to keep Fate from putting these two back together.

I have loved this series from book 1, K.C. Lynn was like a breath of fresh air in a saturated market of NA, these books are a wonderful mix of alphas, amazing side characters, comedy, drama and off the page HOT!
BUT, in my humble opinion they were a good read, awesome reads, worth every penny but they didn’t stand apart from lots of other similar books out there, boy meets girl, path of try love doesn’t run smooth, happy ever after, love it but I love lots of books like that!

SO, we’ve seen Cade in the background, broody, almost sullen but solid and dependable, clearing up the messes his friends left behind, modern day musketeers, one for all and all for one, there isn’t much these guys wont do for each other, you get that, you feel it, it’s translated well and with all the hype building that Cade was up next, I was nervous that K.C was not going to be able to pull this off.

Yeh well that will teach me, I sobbed my way through the prologue and from that point on I wanted to take Cades heart and massage it back to life because what he went through as a boy, what he witnessed and what he lost destroyed him, he was so damaged that all my pre-conceived ideas flew out of the window. I had no idea where his story was going to go.

We know that all 3 men carry physical scars from their last mission together and we know that they were tortured but it’s always been sort of a secret what they actually went through, well not anymore it’s all laid out there in all it’s ugly glory and once again K.C broke my freaking heart. Not that I needed reminding but these men may not be blood but they’re brothers, they all made the ultimate sacrifice for a girl they hardly knew, a girl who eventually brings Cade back to life.

SO ~ back to Cade & Faith………..

This is the third book of the Men of Honor series. I believe you could read this as a stand alone, but I feel strongly in my belief that you should read the first two books before diving into this one. By reading the series in order, you will get to understand the characters a whole lot better. This book is about the brooding ex-Seal, Cade. From the first two books we know that Cade doesn't seem to be very happy. He along with his two buddies, Sawyer and Jaxson went through a week of hell in Iraq. For two years they have been healing. Faith and Cade had an intense meeting in Iraq. Then after their horrible week in Iraq they lost touch. Faith is a preacher's daughter while Cade doesn't believe in God. It only takes reading the prologue to understand why Cade feels the way that he does not believe. The book begins with Cade and Faith's first meeting. We then fast forward two years to the present. I felt that this is the most emotional book of the three thus far. I cried often during this book. My heart broke for Faith and Cade, and I totally fell in love with Christopher and Ruth Jean (Ruthie). Those two kids will melt your heart. Like the other two books you get to see the Alpha side of these ex-Seals. At the time of my reading there is only one more book left in the series, but at the end of this book I read that the author is going to take a short break before resuming the series. I can't wait to read more about this group of friends. Each book is about a different couple, but the other couples are in them too. I loved the epilogue. Even though I cried during a lot of this book, there were times where I chuckled. Sexy Sawyer (from book 2) cracks me up. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
