I stumbled across this album several years ago. I hadn't even heard of Tom Rothrock at the time but decided to give it a listen. The ablum is completely instrumental but you never - and I mean NEVER - notice anything lacking. Very few instrumental albums can pull that off. This thing is great from beginning to end with tons of raw blusy, heavy rock. There isnt' a bad track anywhere to be found. Looking at my iTunes stats, it has become one of my most played albums.

To be honest, I never heard of Tom Rothrock until we were watching a rerun of 'Collateral' on TV this afternoon. His song Rollin' Crumblin' caught my attention, and then I did a little research and found Resonator. Now I am curious as to why this artist and his music aren't more well known! There isn't a bad song on this album, and his two contributions on 'Collateral' should have sparked some interest in Rothrock. But alas it is yet another case of a great talent going unnoticed. Don't make the same mistake, if you were lead here based on Rollin' Crumblin' or Briefcase from 'Collateral,' then do yourself a favor and buy this album. The music on it is as good, if not better, than those two great songs. Well worth getting!
