Based on the wildly popular Resp-O-Rator, the pocket-sized Resp-O-Rator Juniorweighs less than 1 oz., yet the super efficient 2-sided HEPA filter strains out 97% of particles down to 0.3 microns. Whether you have a beard, mustache, or are clean-shaven, it's still one of the most cost effective and fool-proof ways to seal out airborne dust, pollen and other super fine particles. Will not fog up or interfere with glasses or safety goggles. With over 97% efficiency, and over 22 sq. inches of filter area, the Junior model is best in less strenuous and lighter duty applications (we recommend the full-size Resp-O-Rator for more demanding situations). Great for allergy sufferers exposed to fine dust or pollen while cleaning, crafting, or doing yard work. Includes mouthpiece, filter, and tethered nose clip. Made in USA.

This is the PERFECT solution for busy crafts people that need to answer the phone and greet customers without having to take a strap on respirator off.
Just think that you are underwater and keep your mouth closed and only breath out through your nose and you won't even need the goofy nose clip!
I used this for over two full days now in my shop and it's so nice to just be able to put this filter down to answer the phone etc.
If you don't keep your teeth together it will get a little slurpy in your mouth from your saliva but its very manageable and much less hassle than taking a full mask setup off.
I purchased two and plan on keep extras for when I have guests or students for a knife making class in my shop.
I have been using these Resp-ORator mouth pieces for a few months and just want to say that I am even happier with them! Excellent simple product!
The only complaint I and many others seem to have is the drool you accumulate using it. In my opinion, this could be avoided with a typical "snorkel like" mouth piece where you hold the mask by using slight pressure with your teeth on a tube and the flange is outside your lips. I am a diver and am very comfortable with this approach which is used for snorkels and regulators.
This mask has a flange that fits between the lips and teeth with nothing for you to bite on. Not sure why the manufacturer didn't go with the time tested snorkel approach.
The only negative... having your nose pinched off and breathing through the mouth gets uncomfortable after a while. But i would rather do that than breath in any of the particles i am trying to stop. On the positive side, glasses fit normally and they never fog.
I dont see how you can go wrong if you have a beard (or an ill-fitting standard type of mask).
After 2 months of use, i can say the filter is definitely effective (its a HEPA filter and thats about as good as it gets). It breathes very easy because you have a filter on both sides of the unit. But it has one big problem... You cant keep it in your mouth for more than about 10 minutes otherwise you get a buildup of saliva that has no where to go other than into the filter. I used it once for about an hour and found the filter half full of saliva so i replaced the filter. As long as you can spit out every ten minutes, the filter will work. But outside of that, it will be problematic. I now use it only for short periods of time (its very easy to put on and off and if not for that, i would toss it out). I changed the rating down to 3 stars because it still has some advantages for people with beards.
