Amusing plot, a little too convoluted and unrealistic, but my big beef, I don't like it when the story carries into another book which won't come out anytime soon. I like a beginning, a middle and an end, all in one book. This ended with way too many questions
Some of the things that happened, the readers know well in advance of the characters what is going on. Lots of stuff was left at the crime scene that, logically, the police would have taken with them or blocked off..i.e. the garage.
At the end, one of the other characters presumes to much and takes over running Mustang's life.
Clearly Mustang chooses the wrong man.
And worst of all...the person who killed their friend...we don't even meet until ten pages before he confesses, so, that's sort of lame.
I'm still not sure which side of the fence Ben is on, but after what I've read so far....I'd say not the good side. I also thought that the part of this mystery plot was a bit over the top. But afterall; this is a work of fiction, so that really wasn't a big problem for me. I totally loved Mustang and her friends, what a hoot they were. I instantly loved Damon, too, and felt like there was more to him than meets the eye. He was so kind and had that protective thing about him that just drew me in. But I never really felt that way about Ben for some reason. I always felt there was something about Ben that couldn't be trusted. He could still prove me wrong, but I don't think so, because so far it looks like the whole local police dept is in cahoots with the goings on around this town, starting with the Police Chief on down.
