The book includes not only calorie counts, but carbs, fat, sat fat, protein, sodium, fiber, sugar and protein. If you follow the Weight Watchers program, you can use the info here to calculate your Points Plus. This book includes many restaurants that are not in the WW Dining Out Guide.
Many of the restaurants listed are not found nation wide, but they are still interesting to browse through. I was amazed by how many meals contain more than a full days worth of calories. Shrimp Scampi at Carrino's - 2015 calories! It was also disappointing to see how few chain restaurants make an effort to provide healthy options.
The book is small enough to carry in your purse or keep in the glove-box. The print is small, but it wasn't too small for my poor eyesight. This book is the latest edition, published in May 2011. That's important since most restaurants change their recipes every now and then. If you rely on published calorie counters, you'll always want to update your book every year.
Overall I recommend this book. It's detailed, easy to read, offers a very large variety of restaurants, and each restaurants listings include a very long list of items. They didn't just publish the most popular items.
