Long story short: this is "Unfaithful" meets "Fifty Shades" meets "Parenthood" (the movie, not the show).
A pivotal scene of confession pits Alex and hubby in a ferocious fight, one that splits the seam of their marriage. It is so powerful that I was embarrassed by witnessing one of their most intimate moments. Alex constantly asks herself, “What am I missing?; What am I missing in this life?; What is wrong with me.?; How will I face my kids and husband?’’. This is a real dilemma posed by the author in her provocative book. There are no simple answers offered, but it questions are blindingly visible.
A very satisfying read.
This book is well written. Robin Finn hits all of the marks - she tackles marriage, infidelity, sex, raising kids, ADHD being a mom and a women - with eloquence and emotion, all in one story.
It's a fast read, kind of breathless, actually. I couldn't put it down because I wanted to know what was going to happen.
This book is a fun read for anyone!
