About the Author

Steve Gehrke graduated from the creative writing program at Minnesota State University, Mankato. He has received a fellowship to study at Bucknell University and a James Michener Fellowship from the University of Texas at Austin. In 1999, he was a finalist for a Ruth Lilly Fellowship from Poetry magazine. He has worked as an editor on Mankato Poetry Review, and The Corresponder: A Fan Letter on Minnesota Writers. Individual poems have appeared in Midwest Quarterly, Chiron Review, Passages North, Flyway, South Dakota Review, and the anthology American Poetry: The Next Generation (Carnegie Mellon Press).
