The focus of this book is selling to retail customers. In order to do that, one must find and develop retail customers. He starts off with discussions about our mind set. How do we see ourselves, how to get rid of our fear of selling, realizing that many people actually want what we are selling and why it can be a benefit to be shy.
How do you find customers? He provides suggestions including not looking for customers initially, but rather working on developing relationships. People buy from those they trust, so develop the relationship first.
Have you ever heard of a "tiny question"? Would you like to learn about tiny questions? Tom shows how using tiny questions can help you get your first yes in a conversation. If Tom could teach you about tiny questions would it be OK to check out this book?
The book covers additional areas like sound bites, "NO" code words and words that kill. It even digs into the techniques of top selling Girl Scouts.
I am sure you will be able to find both positive and negative reviews of this book. I like this book and recommend it to you if you are in marketing. There is something here for you.
