Review

Rethinking Multicultural Education is both thoughtful and timely. As the nation and our schools become more complex on every dimension--race, ethnicity, class, gender, ability, sexuality, immigrant status--teachers need theory and practice to help guide and inform their curriculum and their pedagogy. This is the resource teachers at every level have been looking for. --Gloria Ladson-Billings, UW Madison, author of Dreamkeepers: Successful Teachers of African American Children

I have never liked to read a textbook so much. All the concepts and thoughts about diversity and multicultural education are elasting sparks to my mind.
Strong recommend for educators and students.

I got it for college classes. It's informative, but dull when not being applied in actual teaching... in actual classrooms.

May piss some people off if you're not willing to consider an alternate point of view (meaning a non-white, middle-class, suburban point of view). I enjoyed it.
