Tasty...tasty!

First off, let me start by saying - I LOVE Root Beer but I don't care so much for writing reviews now with that said...I'll write a review when I truly love something and I truly love this Root Beer! What's bad is that it's hard to find.
Made by Orca in the Midwest you'd think with me living in the Midwest it would be readily available in the stores here (Milwaukee, WI) Well, unfortunately for me not.
Ok, so back to reviewing Brownie Root Beer...
Is it delicious? YES! YES....YASSSS!
It's not overly carbonated, which means it's smooth. I would serve it refrigerated cool vs adding ice cubes & watering it down loosing its delightful flavors. It's a golden brown color & has hints of vanilla and a creamy caramel flavor too. Not overly sweet. Made with Cane Sugar vs High Fructose Corn Syrup which makes this a even better treat to drink up!
If you enjoy root beer, this one won't disappoint. This is definitely in my top 5 favorite root beers without a doubt. Deliciously smooth, creamy and an absolute delight.

The price on here is crazy...but the root beer tastes really good.

I love root beer and save it for a once-every-few-days treat and I really enjoyed this one! The caramel taste is somewhat subtle and changes the regular root beer feel a little bit but not drastically. It has a nice old-school soda fountain taste and feel. Pouring it in a mug makes a nice, delicious foamy head.

The actual root beer tastes pretty good and I recommend any root beer connoisseur to try it, if only for the novelty. However, the price of it on here is ridiculous! If you can find it at a store, they go for less than $2 a bottle.

Tastes like a candle!

I picked this up locally and had to pour it out because it tasted like a candle. The 'caramel' flavor was overbearing and terribly artificial. There was a hint of root beer flavor underneath, but I wasn't interested in being assaulted to enjoy it.

Right down the drain... where you belong

I bought it based purely on the bottle's artwork; it looked fun. However it was not fun. This was the most vile soda I've ever tasted. It was a root beer start but finished with a taste of a Yankee Candle store.

I guess it takes an "enthusiast" to justify spending 50 bucks on a 12 pack of soda. If you can find this locally for a reasonable price it's definitely worth a try. It does have an interesting smell to it though, almost like buttery maple pancakes. If you want your root beer to have a bite try something else because it is pretty sweet. It tastes like a combination of cream soda and root beer with a hint of buttery caramel.

BTW, I found It locally for about a dollar a bottle.

As a root beer enthusiast, I've ordered cases of root beer from various online purveyors several times. One of my favorites is Route 66 Root Beer; I find it to be tasty, frothy, and not too sweet. So it's become something of a mainstay for summer. That said, on yet another root beer research rampage, I read about Brownie Caramel Cream Root Beer on Eric's "Gourmet Root Beer Site." Given that his review ranged all over, from "It's absolutely delicious" to "You can really get lost in that caramel and never want to come back. The Head is disappointing but just barely good enough," I should have kept my expectations low.

Brownie Caramel Cream Root Beer has almost no carbonation, so it's somewhat flat and syrupy from the get-go. And there's a kind of faintly unpleasant, artificially-manufactured "something" in the brew that infuses the palate almost immediately upon the first gulp.

I'm looking for super-goodness in the root beer department, and Brownie Caramel Cream, with its whopping total price of $48.99 (incl. shipping), for twelve bottles, does not achieve this category. In fact, it doesn't even come close.

If you're searching for something extra-tasty in the root beer/soda pop/carbonated/beverage-of-yesteryear world, keep looking!
