Thing thing is great! No really, it is! When I got it in the mail, I was astounded by the quality of it!!! It's perfectly sized, it's heavy, and above all, it's next-to-near impossible for someone to break into without the code. The ONLY way for someone to break in is if they have a blowtorch, no kidding! The dials are a bit loose, but that's fine. The storage space inside is quite large. My friend splurged, and bought the $195 DaVinci Code Cryptex, and this is, believe it or not, better! 5 stars way way up!!! And the price isn't all that bad either.

This Cryptex came in good time and is more then I expected. The entire cryptex is made of very sturdy metal burnished to look like bronze. the inside of the cryptex is small but still more then enough to hide a good surprise for your puzzle loving friends. The dials at first turned a little stiffly but after a few twists they smoothed out and now I have a great looking and feeling cryptex and am more then pleased with it.

Solvable without looking or knowing passcode

This is a novelty Item. Not a good way to keep secrets safe. I handed this Cryptex to a friend who solved it in less than 30 seconds simply by sliding the Plastic covered rings over the track, if that is done to all 5 rings it will unlock this terribly designed cryptex with ease. Now I must say in its defense, I love the weight of this thing, but thats it. feels nice at first but they you realize the metal rings are not only really loose but they are wrapped in plastic that slides around. In the attached video I show just how easily anybody can open this thing without knowing the code. Do not buy unless you plan to use it as an $90 paper weight. I would not recommend this item to a friend.

Heavy metal construction and a solid piece overall. Like another reviewer noted the rings spin a bit too easily but if you pull it apart as you put in the combo it works a bit better. I am only giving it 4/5 because my piece came with some cosmetic damage, which is annoying but nothing I cant live with. Worth it overall
