Limited three disc (CD + two NTSC/Region 0 DVDs) Tour Edition. This set showcases the band in the live arena with two generously packed DVDs with content from two live shows from their explosive tour last year, including Hellfest in France and a show in Brooklyn, New York. The 15 minute video documentary "On The Road in America" by Dennis Dirksen gets to the heart of the matter that the Scorpions are able to consistently attract new generations of fans. In an extensive track-by-track interview, Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs offer a sneak peak into the band's musical universe with anecdotes about the origin and meaning of the songs on Return To Forever. The Scorpions manage to blend new songs like "Going Out With A Bang", "We Built This House" and "Rock 'n' Roll Band" seamlessly with their repertoire of rock classics from "Big City Nights" and "Blackout" to "Still Loving You" and "Rock You Like A Hurricane". This package also includes a 16 page booklet. 2015 release, the 18th studio album from the German hard rock band. Return To Forever is released to coincide with the band's 50th Anniversary. Produced by Mikael Nord Andersson and Martin Hansen (Sting In The Tail, MTV Unplugged), The album features brand new studio recordings including the single "We Built This House" plus seven bonus tracks. Other tracks include "Going Out With A Bang", "Rock My Car" and "Eye Of The Storm". The Scorpions were founded in 1965 in Hannover by Rudolf Schenker. They are one of the most famous and longest existing rock bands in the world. The group became synonymous with melodic heavy metal, including powerful rock ballads.

this is a wonderful Scorpions album and at 19 tracks very good value for money on its own...
now the additions..
DVD 1 a show from New York from Sept of 2015 fabulous... with bonus videos of songs from the album ... a small behind the scenes video and a wonderful track by track analysis by Klaus , Rudolf and Mattias of 20+ minute
DVD 2 a show from France about a month earlier and a 40 minute interview with the big 3 members about the album etc....
both of the interview segments on both DVDs are in English OR German.....
this is a wonderful memento of an album and tour and as far as I'm concerned for $16.99 is 5 stars all the way and a gift from the Scorps to their loyal fans!!
This might actually be about it, folks. This album is a mix between some older songs (Rock My Car was played live during the Monsters of Rock tours in the 80s) and even a couple of newer songs, generally co-written with the producers. The best songs are the ones which have the traditional Schenker-Meine stamp on them. The songs with the producer's influence are a mixed bag. Some songs such as "We Build This House" echo earlier songs such as "No One Like You", but the song "The Scratch" sounds a little out of place for a typical Scorpions album.
Between the 50th Anniversary releases of 8 of their previous albums (with plenty of bonus material from demos to unreleased songs) and this album which completed a number of unfinished tracks across the ages, it looks like the band is clearing out the attic and making sure that they have given it their all and there is nothing more to be said.
Perhaps not be the best Scorpions album, but what this album does represent is a celebration to Scorpions' amazing career. Draw up your favorite beverage, sit back, turn up Return to Forever and raise a toast to Scorpions. Prost!
