Anything to do with Vikings and old mythical gods sets me atingle. Peggy Chamber’s vivid imagination brings the adult Ethan to life as he rekindles his childhood bonds with Glome, a friendly Viking ghost who lives in the cabin left to Ethan by his childhood friend Sven when he died.
It’s time to barbecue some s’mores, toasted marshmallow, chocolate and graham biscuit which the fairies are crazy for. Unfortunately the dirty smelly trolls of his childhood hear he has returned and turn up for a fight, the prelude to an epic battle.
While he was at University earning a degree in archaeology a cool dragon called Trondelag has taken up residence in the local pond which is more than it appears. The caves beyond hold the Tartar Relation and the Map of Vinland, which Glome’s Dad wrote after he made the trip from Scandinavia down the American coast. It could prove Ethan’s Dad’s theory about the Heavener Runestone.
Come on, don’t tell me you can resist the story after this. It’s great fun. The writing is superb and you will love it.
