I loved this book, as much as I have loved all the rest in the series. Ms. Gamet has a way of writing that just pulls you in and keeps you reading. Her characters are always so realistic that you actually feel for them. Greg and Lisa are made for each other, but each ha so much baggage to lose before any kind of HEA can be achieved. Buy this you will love it --- especially if you liked the others in this series.

I am so excited to finally get Greg's book. It is everything I have come to expect from Amy Gamet. There is love, sexy alpha and some mystery. Again, Amy brings the characters to life. The little town again a back drop. I loved it, as I have loved both previous books set on Moon Lake, by Amy Gamet. I can't wait for the next book. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Greg Mora is haunted by the past, by a war that changed his whole life. And by the death of a friend. When he returned to Moon Lake , it was as a man who had given up on all of his dreams for a future as a doctor, a husband, a father.
Lisa Addaria has always felt no one understood her. No one that is except her Father, who is now gone. When she left Moon Lake for the big city, it was to find a new life, but it was also to get as far away from home as possible. But now her life is calling her back home. Her Mother is in critical health and Lisa needs to sees her.
What Lisa doesn’t expect is to run into Greg Mora, her sister’s ex-boyfriend. Or at least she didn’t expect to run into his truck. Blinded by the torrential rain storm, she hits Greg’s new truck, which is parked in front of her family’s home. And even more surprising is to see the man demolishing the bathroom inside said home. Greg, it seems, has given up on his dreams of becoming a doctor, and traded them in for a tool belt.
Greg is still the handsome man Lisa remembered; only now he is carrying around the emotional scars from the war. And Lisa is still the kid sister of his former girlfriend; now a beautiful woman who still can catch is eye. But can two broken people see into each other’s souls and help heal the wounds that have been open for far too long?
What Lisa and Greg don’t know is that there is a Cupid in the form of Lisa’s Mother, trying to put the two of them together.
This story brought tears to my eyes. It was touching, loving and beautifully told.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Having read the two previous installments of the Moon Lake adventures, I was looking forward to this one. We previously met Greg, the hero of this book, in the last book, Fortune on Moon Lake. It was easy to tell that Greg had problems in the last book from his tour in Afghanistan. While he seemed better at the beginning of this book, it soon became obvious that he really wasn't all that much better. He worked very hard to keep his problems with PTSD hidden and there's no mention of any counseling in his story line...so he went it all alone.

Lisa, our heroine, has problems of her own stemming from feelings of inadequacy and the subsequent bad life decisions she made. She returns home to a lot of changes. She also returns home at the behest of her mother who orchestrates a whole subplot trying to reconcile her family. While I understood Lisa, I didn't really care for her at the beginning of the book. She's an acquired taste. She showed herself to be a very talented and caring individual as the book progressed.

Lisa and Greg both grow a tremendous amount during the course of the book. Barbara, her mother, seems to have everyone's best interest at heart--even if she does go about things in a rather devious way. Trust me, by the end of the book, you'll be cheering for both Lisa and Greg to achieve their dreams. This was a most enjoyable read and one that I will read again in the future. Kudos to the author for another good one!

Readers of the other Moon Lake books finally get to know the previously illusive Lisa. She is called home by her mother's illness to find sister, Melanie married, but not to longtime beau, Greg. Greg, whose service in Afghanistan left him severely depressed has abandoned his dream of medical school and become a contractor. He has been hired by Lisa's mom to renovate the family homestead for sale. Lisa, who has been alienated from her family for years opposes the sale because the house is the only link she feels she has left to her family. With mom in assisted living, Lisa is living in the house alone with Greg there every day working on the remodel, and she always has had a thing for Greg. Two angry, lonely, lost souls...the perfect set-up. This has become my favorite of the series. I loved the way the author worked her characters through their anger, resentments, reconciliation , and finally redemption. Although part of series, this is a stand alone story. For me it was time well spent. Well done, Amy. I was given an ARC of the book in exchange for honest review.

An awesome & Moving contemporary romance book. The main and supporting characters are troubled and need someone to help them. I've read a couple of other books by Ms Gamet and enjoyed them. This book has a woman, Lisa, who returns back 'home' to help her dying mother. We also have Gage who returned home months before and works as a repair man. He having a difficult time being back from service in the military. Many family, 'friends' and towns people don't do anything but remind Lisa of her past mistakes that she regrets. This is frustrating to Lisa who is trying too straighten things out. Gage and Lisa seem to clash often yet each is frustrated but is that all it is really about? There are exciting times that keep you turning the pages. I look forward to reading more of these books by Ms Gamet. I received a free copy of this book from the author solely for an honest opinion.
