Lightweight,easy-to-use, easy-to-wash and cotton. What more could you ask for? They do shrink a lot, so keep that in mind. I thought the XL would be way too big, but after washing, it's perfect. The smallest are pretty small, so good for a few limes or a couple lemons, that kind of thing. I didn't rate the specific features because I haven't had them that long, but I suspect we will be using these for many years to come.

I like that the bags feel durable and are easy to clean; just shake off any dirt or food bits (e.g., onion skin) into the trash and throw it into the wash or handwash. However, the bags are nowhere sheer enough for you to be able to see through, unless you pack it absolutely full. This isn't that big of a problem for me, as I mostly use these to separate veggies and fruits and to put together ingredients I will use in a future meal.

Cutting back on plastic I ordered these French shopping carriers (though the company doesn’t call them that, it’s what they are).

Ideal for fruit and veggies, and less plastic for me to take back to the store for recycling.

Everyone should have these bags..they are well made, come with a secure draw string and different sizes from small to 5 grapefruit sized.

Good idea come back to life.

Well worth the investment initially if you’re serious about cutting back on Your carbon footprint.

I love the variety of sizes, it fits my produce shopping needs. You can buy little things like ginger, limes; medium sized for apples, onions; and big bags can handle leafy vegetables. Bags are durable, and have a side tag for the tare weight (although not many places can enter that at will, I think). Bags are also easy to clean.

One slight drawback that the mesh is quite dense, so it's hard to see through and read some produce code numbers, but you can easily get around by just rummaging around a little bit. A great alternative to single use plastics at stores.

I bought these to replace the plastic bags and store my veggies in the fridge. I specifically picked the organic cotton ones. The reviews were great so went with these. I washed them in my washer's delicate cycle in cold water and line dried them as soon as I receive it. However after washing it for the first time they shrank to the half size. So, I can only probably use the largest one since the small ones are very small now.

Hi, ich habe mir die Obst -und Gemüsebeutel von #allcottonandline bestellt, damit ich nicht mehr die Tomaten in Plastiktüten oder Leinbeutel einzupacken. Grund: Plastiktüten sind schlecht für die Umwelt und die Tiere. Leinbeutel sind bisschen schwerer als die Beutel von #allcottonandline.

Verarbeitung:
Die Obst -und Gemüsebeutel von #allcottonandline sind sehr gut verarbeitet und haben dementsprechend eine gute Qualität. Die halten sehr viel aus (z.B. 3Kg Kartoffeln) und sind auch sehr einfach zu waschen (entweder kurz mit den Händen waschen oder bei niedriger Temperatur in die Waschmaschine), wenn sie dann mal schmutzig sind.

Gewicht:
Das die Beutel ein Eigengewicht haben ist unabdingbar, aber man sollte sich selbst die Frage stellen: Ist es mir wichtig 20-50 Gramm pro Beutel zu sparen und damit etwas gutes für die Umwelt und Tiere tun, oder benutze ich weiterhin Plastiktüten?
Hier die Gewichte der Beutel.
L = 49 Gramm
M = 30 Gramm
S = 24 Gramm

Die einen oder anderen haben es vielleicht schon mitbekommen. Der Einzelhandel "REWE" hat seine eigenen Mehrwegbeutel im Sortiment. Fand ich am Anfang ganz cool das Rewe so etwas anbietet, doch leider musste ich feststellen, dass diese Beutel aus Plastik (Polyester) sind und das geht ein bisschen am Ziel vorbei. Wer jetzt glaubt man könne mit den Beutel von #allcottonandline bei Rewe einkaufen der hat sich leider geirrt. Bei Rewe kann man nur mit den Beutel von Rewe einkaufen. Geht man trotzdem mit den Beutel von #allcottonandline an die Kasse, sind die KassierInnen verpflichtet den Inhalt aus den Beuteln zu nehmen und separat abzuwiegen.

Falls noch fragen zum Beutel sein sollten, einfach fragen :)

You can end up using scores of flimsy plastic bags every year from buying fruit and veg in supermarkets, but these reusable bags end all that, They are eco-friendly in manufacture, come in useful sizes and seem good for long term use with a little bit of care. You get a few funny looks at the checkout, a few questions, even some compliments - but perhaps it is easier to go through self serve tills until they are more widely used. They do their bit to cut down on the plastic we use. They are more expensive than free bags obviously, but that is hardly the point, This is a biodegradable alternative to plastic which should last for a considerable time.
