Rev-A-Shelf knows waste containers better than anyone in our industry and our RV series is perfect for anyone wanting to replace your existing floor standing trash can and create more space in your kitchen. Available in chrome or white frames and offered in variety of widths and container sizes. All are easy to assemble and glide effortlessly on a sturdy slide system. Look for the optional door mount kit and lids (35 Qrt and 50 Qrt only) that will surely finish your installation, but is not required for operation.

I finally broke down and got this in-cabinet trash can. My wife has been wanting one for years.

This thing deserves 6 stars, actually. I can't rate it for durability because it's only been installed for a week. That said, it slides a full trash can with no problem. Installation could have hardly been easier. It came in a huge box, already assembled. I am not kidding when I say it took me 5 minutes to install this thing. 4 screws that come with the unit, pre-drill a hole, and put the screws in. When I first saw it I was convinced I'd have to add more screws, but it doesn't budge with just those. The lid feature is excellent. The people that say the lid don't fit, I have no idea what they're talking about. With 35 gallon draw-string trash bags, the lid fits perfect. They have this same thing at Lowe's or Home Depot for a few bucks less, but no lid. I've had the cans in cabinets before with no lid and they always stink.

If you want a can for the cabinet, buy this thing. For less than 75 bucks you can't go wrong.

I bought 2 of these, one for my kitchen and one for the pantry room.

Overall, these are nice, seem pretty durable (ie. when a bag is getting full, you can push down to compress the garbage to create more space or for tying the bag when full without bending the frame or anything).

The installation is simple, but the design really makes the installation in areas unnecessarily tight . Like many people I am sure, my plumbing comes up through the floor of my cabinet, way in the back. This device should be designed so that the furthest back cross support on the rollout frame should be recessed by about 2.5 to 3". This would allow the device to fit more cabinets and if done properly, would not reduce the stability and/or rigidity of the system. As a result of this issue, I had to install the one under my kitchen sink at a very slight angle as well as set it very close to the hinged side of the door. While it works, it could work in more applications more easily.

There should also be better drawings to show the true space needed to install these. The full height as reported is not really necessary for the full depth of the part - a better drawing showing measurements would probably result in greater sales.

Overall, I am pleased with the product, like the lid system and the top lid assembly that really does work nicely. Sometimes I wish that I didn't need to slide out the drawer/trash can just to stick a little piece of trash in. Perhaps a lids that swung in towards the can would be an alternative versus one that lifted up to put stuff in. Granted, there are other flaws with the push in hinged tops too.

It has only been a few weeks, so I cannot speak to longer term durability. Everything works as it should or would be expected at this point - slides in/out easily, seems sturdy enough, etc. . .

I love this garbage can. It is great and it fits perfectly in my cabinet. It was easy to install. One word of advice, make sure you measure correctly. I did measure it correctly and it fits great, but look at all the dimensions to ensure it fits. I was looking everywhere for a garbage can with a lid and this one was the one I was looking for. The other ones I saw that had lids were small, less than 35 quarts. This one may be smaller than normal, but when you have no where else to put your garbage can, it is a great option. Plus, it is kind of nice having the garbage can hidden. I especially love that I can take out the garbage can from the holder if I need the garbage can to throw away more items. I would def. recommend this and would buy again. Everything came in perfect condition and super fast. I would also buy from the buyer in the future.
