Top Customer Reviews
Installation is straight forward with the clear instructions, the mechanism is smooth, and the trash basket is good quality. Can't ask for much more than that. Please watch the video if you'd like to see this in action.
The whole unit is insanely easy to install – the instructions are clear and easy to follow (says the 69-year-old woman who installed it). Pay attention to the plumbing when measuring, of course, but don't forget to factor in the sink if it’s anywhere near the path the trash can will take. I didn't, but got lucky.
The slider is solid and glides in and out with ease. At first I thought the rear basket storage was a gimmick, but it’s actually very useful. This is exactly where I’ve always kept my trash bags (behind the trash can), but now I no longer have to bend over and stretch to the back of the cabinet to get them – every time I pull the can out, the bags come right with it – so convenient.
The black plastic can/container itself is not as sturdy as the one I use now, but it’s not exactly flimsy either, so only time will tell if it stands up to ordinary use - but considering "ordinary use" will be sliding in and out of the cabinet on ball bearings, it seems very probable to me. I use a 13-gallon trash can liner that fits perfectly in the can – like this one Glad Forceflex Tall Kitchen Drawstring Trash Bags, 13 Gallon, 76 Count or this one Kirkland Signature Drawstring Kitchen Trash Bags - 13 Gallon - 200 Count.
The can slides in and out very smoothly and quietly (NO metal screeching or slamming sounds like many other cabinet garbage cans) and there's even a small basket on the rack directly behind the can which is great for holding a box of garbage bags or even holding second smaller can for recycling or something.
I know this will last a long time, but if I ever need to purchase another one, I wouldn't hesitate to reorder this.
