Title: Revealed (Redemption Book 2)
Author: Samyah Leighton
Genre: Contemporary Romance
JBI Rating: 5 Stars

All's fair in love and war... Or is it?

Book 2 in the Redemption series, Revealed, picks up where book 1 ended. This is the second book of three in the series. As much as some parts of this book drove me bat s*** crazy, I still have to say I loved it. Lord was I frustrated at times though. Trust that there was a lot of screaming, crying, WTF, and OMG-ing going on. Revealed is full of suspense, heartbreak, betrayal, and so many more intense emotions.

My heart went out to Skylar for all that she had to endure throughout the book. However I was just as much upset with her too. I wanted to scream at her at times. The things we do for the ones we love. When is enough, enough? Jackson shows more of his inner jackass too. In his defense, he is hurt by Skylar leaving and numbs the pain the only way he knows how. Still, he can be quite the jerk. The secret from Skylar and Jackson’s past is revealed, the one that’s mentioned in book one.. Is it possible to forgive and move on from past mistakes and hurt? Oh and Chris, Skylar’s douche of an ex-husband, I hope one day he meets up with everyone’s good friend Karma. He deserves it.

Add Revealed to your TBR today, it’s definitely worth the read. Samyah Leighton is quickly becoming a must read author if you ask me. Now I must patiently wait for book three to get here. The wait’s gonna kill me but I’m sure it’ll be worth it.

I read this book on my Kindle Unlimited account, This is the continuation of Deceived. The action also continues in this book as Skylar gets away from her Ex-husband Chris. The only way she gets away is after he backhands her on the top step of the staircase she loses her balance and tumbles down the stairs. She falls to the bottom in an unconsious heap, and he panics and leaves her. However the P I that Jackson hired sees everything through his binoculars and calls 911 and Jackson and tells him to meet them at the hospital. Jackson rushes to the hospital amid the Superbowl celebrations for his team. Skylar eventually awakens and they find out they are having twins. The babies seem to be okay, but she still has to be careful and she needs to heal from her injuries. Jackson takes Skylar home and takes care of her. He is having trouble deciding what he wants to do after she heals, his lawyer tells them it would be better if they were married in case Chris goes to the authorities, but Jackson rejects that idea right away. Jackson says he doesn't want to marry her but he doesn't want her with anyone else either. At his retirement party on his yacht he is putting quite a show on in front of Skylar with his girl friend, but yet when another guy kisses Skylar he explodes and says they're getting married.
This book has a lot of back and forth between Skylar and Jackson and all they seem to do is hurt each other. The course of true love never runs smooth and fate seems to have it in for this couple, but they decide that they really are going to get married. Then on their wedding day after they are married, and at the reception other forces come into play.... it seems someone has alerted the authorities about their past, and this book ends with a big fat cliffhanger!

This is the second book in the series and the first one has to be read first.

Skylar Deveraux has been kidnapped/forced to leave Jackson Delaney's house by her ex-husband Chris Meyers. Chris has threatened to reveal a secret that would jeopardize Jackson and even their daughter Sutton. Skylar chooses to go with Chris but everyday she misses the life she left behind and must gain Chris's trust in order to escape him. He has begun to treat Skylar worse than she ever thought possible and the only thing getting her through is thinking of Sutton and Jackson.

Jackson and Sutton are devastated that Skylar has left and Sutton believes that there is no way that she would leave on her own accord. Jackson is so hurt that he just breaks down and hides all of his pain and can't believe that he let her in again. But he still can't forget the love he has for her and as his relationship with Sutton falls apart he knows he must do what he can to save his family.

But is it too late for the two of them or can they find something to bring them together in order to discover the truth about why Skylar left? What will Skylar have to endure in order to save those she loves?

Wow - I loved the first book and this book is just as absolutely amazing although so heartbreaking at times. My heart was beating so loud in my chest at times when I just wanted to jump into the book and beat the hell out of both Chris and Jackson - for very different reasons!

I loved how sneaky Skylar had to get in order to try and get some dirt of Chris to escape! She did what she could but what she had to endure was awful! I really don't think there is enough punishment that Chris could endure that would satisfy me.
