“John W. Price has written a marvelous book, Revealing Heaven, that uses the lessons brought back by many ‘near-death’ soul journeyers to help steer the Christian viewpoint into alignment with the knowing that so many share today: we are so much more than our physical bodies.” (Eben Alexander, M.D., author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon's Journey into the Afterlife)
“A must read for anyone interested in heaven or near-death experiences, Revealing Heaven is a powerful and exceptionally well-written book. The Reverend John Price has heard over 100 people narrate their near-death experiences and his insights are both informative and profoundly inspirational.” (Jeffrey Long, MD, author of the New York Times bestselling Evidence of the Afterlife: The Science of Near-Death Experiences)
“A compelling book.” (Guideposts)
“This is a well written book taking the form of stories more than a theological treatise. It is a small book but one I suspect will give encouragement and hope to many who read it.” (Provocative Christian Living blog)

Can Christians Trust Talesfrom Heaven? Yes!
Millions have read the testimonies of those who have been to heaven and returned. But what do these stories mean for Christians? How do they fit with what the Bible teaches? What do they say about who goes to heaven? Debate has raged throughout the church about whether we should trust these testimonies, since they don't always align with what we think the Bible teaches. Reverend John Price, a pastor who has been a pioneer in integrating near-death accounts into ministry, surveys the Bible and Christian doctrines to discover that these firsthand accounts of encounters with God are fully compatible with Christian spirituality.
Price began his ministry not believing in heaven. In Revealing Heaven, after hearing over two hundred accounts of near-death experiences, Price narrates the stories of those who helped change his mind and now makes a case not only for why Christians can trust near-death accounts but for why we should treat these amazing stories as precious gifts from God.

In "Revealing Heaven," Rev. Price does a fantastic job of showing, through real near death experience accounts and those experiencers' lives afterwards, that what they saw and experienced reveals a LOVING God, not a vengeful, angry God, waiting to reject those who don't meet strict requirements. Rev. Price also shows that many near death experiencers who have beautiful, positive, loving experiences were not Christians, or at least, what some people would call Christians, but God loved them equally! There are too many--literally thousands--of near death experiences reported, and most of them contain the same general themes that Rev. Price discusses in his book. Having read ALL the near death experience on the NDERF.org website for the past several years, I can attest to the fact that they do reveal a God that is more loving and forgiving than we could ever imagine. Reading those NDE's has transformed my life so that I really try to be more loving not only with my actions and words, but with my thoughts as well. Someday we will only be communicating with thoughts, so it's good to practice "thinking with love." Believe me, I'm not perfect, but it has changed me considerably, and it's due in large part to reading the NDE's of others, and validated by Rev. Price's book.
I would urge anyone--especially those Christians who were brought up believing in a vengeful God, but also those who believe that all others who are not Christian are "going to Hell"--to first of all read "Revealing Heaven," then go to the NDERF site and read all of those accounts that real people from all over the world have sent in. It will change your life for the better, and all of those around you. And, as a Christian myself, I know for a fact I will someday be in Heaven with people of all religious beliefs and dis-beliefs, with the common bond of love for each other and God. Does this challenge your thinking, beliefs and what you were taught growing up? It did for me and It's ok! I'm now an INclusive Christian, not an EXclusive Christian. I challenge everyone to be a part of the change to become a world of loving people!
After years in ministry, the Episcopal priest for the first time encountered a rising tide of “near death experiences,” told by people who had been pronounced clinically dead and who had come back from the other side to tell about it.
Some persons could remember their own death scenes; some had been greeted on the other side by relatives and friends who had preceded them in death. Some had seen a divine Being, or had been guided or instructed by angels. On returning to life, they seemed no longer to fear death. Many had experienced a “life review,” of what their life on earth had been like. As a result, they might have reformed, and their personalities might have changed dramatically for the better.
Hearing these accounts brought a new assurance into the Rev. Price’s faith. He became an enthusiastic witness to the reality of life after death, not only for Christians but for persons of any faith (or no faith). “I find there are really only two religions in the world: a religion of love and a religion of fear. This understanding cuts across all major faith groups,” according to Price. And true spirituality, as he has come to understand it, is simply “seeking a close relationship with God in our daily lives.”
“Revealing Heaven” is well written and informative. I recommend it to readers who are interested in the phenomenon of near death experiences.
