This book begins where "Being Me" left off. Sara is still reeling from the events of the past twenty four hours and she has a choice to make. Does she or doesn't she go to Paris with Chris. The deciding factor is the love she feels for this man but it is scary for her to drop everything and follow him, risking that it will all work out, trusting when trust isn't easy for her. Yet she knows it's the right decision for the two of them. For it is in Paris that she will learn his secret, that which drives his darkness and she will learn her own strengths born out of the love she feels for him and from him.
The path is not easy as there are forces and people working against the couple. The investigation into Rebecca's death poses difficulties for Sara as does the search for her missing friend Ella. We are introduced to new characters, some you will love and others you will hate, those from Chris' past who don't want the couple to survive but survive they do and grow in the process. We learn more of what happened to Rebecca as her final journal entries are shared with us. I loved the way this was interlaced into the story line and could empathize with Rebecca in her last days. We do get a peek into what's happening with Ella in the epilogue which has me dying to know more.
This truly is Sara and Chris' book and is aptly named for here who they are as a couple is revealed to us. This book really is their romance. We see them grow into their relationship and into being a true couple. There are miscommunications, not intentional for things have to unfold at the right time for Chris but it is the love and trust in that love that gets them through the landmines. This reader was quite satisfied with where Sara and Chris are at the end of this book even though this is not the end of the story as there is still more to come and I am looking forward to it. Lisa Renee Jones did not disappoint this reader. I loved this book as I did the first two.
