Nina has always been creative, be it art, theatre, film - anything but singing - you don't want to hear that! She earned her bachelor's degree in Theatre and Military Science from Eastern Michigan University where she spent most of her time either on stage, rappelling down buildings, or working one of three jobs. After college, she moved to Los Angeles, like so many other actors, in pursuit of her dreams.

She started writing short stories in 2008. Since then, her dreams have gotten bigger and her storytelling ability has gotten better. Her first novel Awaken (the Blood Angel Series) was published in 2012. Since then, she has completed the Blood Angel Series with Beginnings, Revenge, and Pursuit and published the SECTOR C trilogy (The Chosen, The Hunted, and The Bridge).

Nina often volunteers her time to work with teen writing groups and has written a series of books designed to help authors of all ages find their way through the writing process. Check out JUST WRITE, SO YOU WANT TO WRITE A BOOK, #WRITINGPROMPTS, and The Invisible You.

She has done everything from secretarial work to business development to being the Director of a private preschool. She has fired an M16 machine gun, jumped out of a C130 aircraft, and given birth - TWICE - but she always returns to the arts.

Though she'll forever be a Michigan girl at heart, she now lives in the south with her husband and two beautiful children. If she's not working on her latest story, you can find her playing with her kids, lounging with a good book, or indulging in her unhealthy addiction to Starbucks coffee.

The third and final installment of the Blood Angel series by Soden was extraordinary. For someone like me who grew up reading King and Koontz, I greatly enjoyed Soden's imagination and style. All the details and characters come together in this fantastic story of secret societies and underground worlds. This series is perfect for young readers and older readers alike. My hope is that Soden will write about these characters again to show what their life is like now that this series has ended. It opens up a whole new realm of possibilities!

Conclusion of the Blood Angel Series.......You want believe what happens....

Where to start...Me, as a reader, I love stories with a message that can be given or used in the real world. This story does that for me and I'll explain as this review progresses.

This is the third and final story for the Blood Angel series. Though I'm sadden that the series has been finalized, the author has really outdone herself with this story.

The pace of this story was fast and steady throughout this story. Many twists and turns were presented that kept my curiosity piqued and when truths and secrets were revealed, I was simply shocked because I had no idea or inkling that these would occur. That in itself makes this a perfect story/ending for me.

The characters from each book continued to grow as the story enfolded and this story was no exception. IMO, the message is this..In society, as a whole, we've grown to like "routine" versus "change". Change can be perceived as being good or bad, depending on how it's presented and efforts to make it easier to be introduced, as well as, what it means for the people. At the conclusion, "Unity" is the key to make changes possible for all those involved.

The author's "easy to read" talent is very evident during this story, which IMO, grabs the reader's attention. It's definitely a roller coaster ride when the truths and secrets are revealed.

This story contains many facets that a lot of readers will enjoy: romance, suspense, intrigue, murder, betrayal, loyalty, forgiveness and lots of action. These components are quite realistic throughout the story and helps define each of the characters and their roles, to which they played amazingly thus making this the best book of the series.

This conclusion has started where the second book "Beginnings" ended, so it want leave you missing anything.

I would recommend to readers to read the first book "Awaken", and follow story with the other books. Questions will follow each story, but will all be answered as each book progresses to the reader's satisfaction.

I just hope the author will continue another trilogy/series with characters from this series. (Hint to author: Phoebe needs her own...)

I give my rating.....5 stars.

This book was given to me as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This third (final?) installment of the Blood Angel series is once again looking at the transformation of Alee (Aleerah), the only living dhampir. It continues after her transition back into high school, learning the ropes of a vampire, the nature of being a witch, the betrayal of the Underground and the love dichotomy she finds herself in.

The critical points

Writing: Nina's writing has progressively improved throughout the series and by this point, she has started to master the craft. Weaving in the imagery and emotions of her characters. There were some misspellings here and there, giving the teeny ding on the writing alone.

Story: This story starts off on the fast track and very rarely slows down. The build up over the series has led to this moment of turmoil, transformation and transcendence. Nina's work on the first two novels set the stage for this wonderful and fast-paced supernatural showdown. There were a few parts in the end that threw me. *SPOILER* When the Founders battle started happening, I felt there was little build up to making them the antagonist, so it felt a tad closed off and ended abruptly. That took a bit of the story down, but in all, it was a wonderful ride seeing the characters grow aside the writer herself.

Characters: Each character has grown into their element from the first novel to this last one. Alee has grown into the confident yet hesitant teen, pairing along with her new vampire feelings she tries to maintain. The affections of Jathan to Damian to Kyle keeps the temperature always on high.

Appearance: I have loved Nina's book covers on all her books. This last one just didn't stay par with the others. It's hard to match perfection three times in a row. I think if there was something more in the eyes portraying revenge as the title, I'd probably have given it a straight five.
