"Alex Moretti is the kind of guy who sweeps into your life like wildfire, torching anything and everything you've ever cared about before he makes himself perfectly at home, rooting himself down so deep into your soul that it becomes impossible to differentiate where you end and he begins."
Raleigh is slowly returning to normal after the events of Book One, or as normal as high school can get. Alex and Silver are looking forward in their lives, toward graduation and Alex focused on getting custody of his brother Ben. but overall these two are just happy to love each other and be alive.
"Break you?" he whispers. "I don't break the things I love, Argento. I fix them. I repair them. I treasure them. I do ridiculous, insane, very illegal things to make sure I don't lose them. I sure as hell don't break them."
A large part of this book was not only the furthering of Silver and Alex's relationship but building a relationship between Alex and Cam. A relationship born out of respect and vengeance but a relationship nonetheless. I don't read Young Adult/New Adult, not really, so this building seemed realistic considering these guys are in high school.
As for Jacob? Jacob deserves to die a slow and painful death.
Some other thoughts:
1. The book is HOT. Like seriously, HOTTTT. These two certainly don't lack any chemistry together. Though there is a weird scene at the Rock which was kind of gratuitous and really highlights that Silver may look okay on the outside but the girl needs some therapy.
2. I still maintain that Silver's father Cam is one of the best characters in this series. He's just greatness. And I hope that either Silver's mom does some begging for forgiveness or some lucky lady comes his way.
3.I like the addition of Zander and am interested to see what role the character will play in the future.
4. Because I love Alex I think Ben's foster mother is a horrid person. But objectively I think she just wants the best for him. He was so young when he lost his mother it is only natural for him to refer to her as "mom". And she does seem to love him. I know Ms. Hart said there were a few Easter Eggs in this book and I am hoping Sloane's comment at the end isn't about them...
5. Detective Lowell. Anyone who has read the Blood and Roses and Chaos and Ruin series knows detective Lowell. And her name being mentioned is a real head scratcher because we all know what happened to her....
6. Considering what happened to Silver her keeping what was happening to her a secret was dumb.
7. And the brief Zeth, Sloane, and baby Mayfair mention *cue swooning*
But overall this was a good follow up, and I am looking forward to see what happens next for these two.
Silver and Alex's story continues in Revenge At Raleigh High and this book is amazing and full of twists and turns and darkness yet again, but there is also happiness sprinkled in for these characters as well. Now that Silver's secret is out, she and her family are working on dealing with the aftermath, and she's working on moving forward as well as everyone at Raleigh High after the shooting. She's still the outcast, but she's the outcast dating the guy who saved the student's lives, so there's that, right? Wrong.. Jake is still making her life awful, and she's hiding things from Alex, all while keeping him to his promise that he won't do anything to Jake that will land him in trouble. I love how Alex finds ways to get around his promise to Silver to take out his revenge, as well as his budding "bromance" of sorts with Cam (Silver's dad). They both have a common goal to take down the people who hurt her, and it bonds them on a level that is unreal. You'd think after everything Silver had already gone through something would start to look up for her, but no, she's not truly healed from her tragedy, nor is life getting any easier for her, and during this book you will see her go through some horrible things, but come out 1000% stronger in the end.I loved how strong of a relationship Alex and Silver have, but at the same time I wish Alex wouldn't give in to Silver on some of her demands knowing that she's truly not ok. That's one of my biggest beefs about this book. He knows what she's asking for at times is wrong, and not healthy, yet he gives in anyways to make her happy. This book is full of angst, darkness, and a few twists and turns, and I adored every minute of it. Silver and Alex have come so far, and I have a feeling things are going to hit them hard again in the next book if I read some of the clues towards the end correctly. Even though this book doesn't end in a cliff hanger, it definitely left me wanting more ASAP, because these characters are quite amazing!

Silver is alive, Alex is alive, but this is Raleigh High and the Entitled Bully's and Bitches are still prowling the halls. Danger and Tension is around every corner!
Be Prepared for the second part of this incredible journey.
Silver has been violated in the worst of ways, so much has been taken from her, and now we see a warrior rise, a girl becoming a woman full of courage and strength. They can try but they will never break her or take away her capacity to Love!!
Alex knows his life is with Silver and he will do anything to protect those he loves, but can he keep his promise's, can he secure his place with Silver.
I loved that we get flashbacks to both Alex and Silver's pasts, and the depth we are drawn into this young couple. Alex is EVERYTHING!!! He's clever, he's drop dead gorgeous, he's Loyal and its impossible not to have a massive Crush, Yes i am definitely Crushing on him bigstyle!!
Be ready for your anger at what they have to endure. Be prepared for every heartbeat to be emotionally assaulted in the best of ways capturing your mind, body and soul I was consumed from beginning to end, their love melted me and their strength left me in awe.
Incredible, Unforgettable, Epic, Amazing, Perfect about sums it up!!
Callie Hart is BACK, and she's back with a freaking vengeance! Much as I loved the first in this series, this second instalment was so unbelievably suspenseful (even terrifying), combined with a little kink and eroticism. PLUS we even got to see some old faces...and I am a sucker for beautifully linked worlds.
This will seriously blow your mind. It's the best book I've read in a while, and I absolutely adore how dark and messed up this story is...in spite of its high school setting and the youth of these characters. Secrets have been kept, and we are about to explore the fallout of that, especially a really intriguing development of Silver's father in the wake of her revealing to her family what actually changed her last year.
It's very, very difficult not to give spoilers in this review so...READ IT NOW!
It jumps right into the story, there is no slow build up just picks up right where it ended in the previous book.
Poor silver has been through so much yet she has so much more coming at her.
This book has had me on the edge of my seat and crying my eyes out. It was absolutely fantastic.
I don't want to give away any spoilers and urge everyone not to read any before starting. Go in blind and just experience it!
After the bloodbath of The Rebel Of Raleigh High at the end of the book, and the evil that had gone before, I really didn't think I could hate a character more than I did - Jacob Weaving - but I found in this book, that my hatred went to new depths. The need for revenge took over. I was so caught up in the words.
Silver's father was AWESOME!
But Silver and Alex. Oh how sweet. Wonderful. The love...the passion. And the fierce protection.
I cannot wait to read the next book!
You have to have read The Rebel Of Raleigh High before this. NOT for the fainthearted.
