The handle is an entirely different matter, while holding the main handle with my thumb in high wind it sheared when the wind was blowing in the opposite direction. Its basically a hollow straw.
I find the phrase 'only as strong as its weakest chain' is apt here, this means that the no-matter how strong the canopy the handle renders it useless for handling in high wind. The fact that it broke in its first real test is failure of the highest order and to say I am disappointed is an understatement. If I could give 0 stars I would.
