Paul Gottfried's critical engagement with political correctness is well known. Another triumph for Dr Gottfried. I so enjoyed the book that I couldn't take notes so my observations will have to be general. He includes a paper that recounts his early life and this was helpful for understanding him. I believe the center piece of the collection was a paper entitled "Liberal Democracy as a God Term." Very informative and spot on. I believe this paper was a reaction to the book "Human Sin or Social Sin," which describes how our democracy has deified people. His paper on Trump was very accurate for describing the social forces that the president represents. He compares and contrasts Burke and some of the basic tenents and origins of existentialism. He definitely prefers Burke. Read and enjoy.
